The quality and look of the crossbow itself seems fantastic as expected (especially for price paid, which was as much as my U.S.-made AK-47 cost). I selected it because it was very light (6.3 lbs.) and had a rather simple design (no pulleys), compared to most others in the same class.

On the negative side, it wasn't clear how to use the cocking/pull assist cable from the written instructions. I didn't figure it out until after watching Top Shot tonight... A simple figure in the instructions would have went a long way. Furthermore, the arrows included did not have a v-grooved section on their "nock" (back end) - just a flat threaded opening...(not so ideal for launching the arrow, although I understand the purpose of the threads is to aid in pulling out the arrow with an optional threaded T-handle - this could be very helpful when using a hard target block like I purchased). I wasn't able to find any threaded v-groove inserts (for the crossbow's pull string to sit in) anywhere, so decided to buy new arrows.

On the positive side, the scope was very nice - it includes protective caps at both ends that were tied-together with elastic strings. The cross-hairs include tick marks (instead of lines, which I find preferable) that indicate arrow drop at certain distances. The scope also includes up/down & left/right adjustments, which can be set with a screw driver after unscrewing the covering caps (an indication for the adjustment of ½" per click at 20 yards is also labeled).
