worked for a couple of days,

This review is from: 8 in 1 Excel Allergy Relief for Dogs, 36 Count Bottle (Misc.)
I have a Jack Russell and each summer she goes through a four to six week scratching spree. It is maddening. Throughout the daytime and throughout the night she scratches away and she skin becomes a bright tomato red. I usually end up taking her to the vet, but this summer I wanted to try other products that might help her. One vet told me her condition was due to allergies and another told me it was due to a skin bacteria. Thinking it was more likely she had allergies, I started with these pills and they worked for a couple of days. Her redness went down but that was she became too sleepy to scratch. After a week, the effects wore off entirely and the pills have no impact on her. I moved on to Sergeant's Vetscription 8-Ounce Antimicrobial Medicated Shampoo Dog and had zero luck alleviating her symptoms. I'm now trying a hydrocortisone spray and shampoo and they seem to work fairly well.

This product works well to calm itchy skin, and watery or gooey eyes in dogs. The only problem is that this is usually a solution that doesn't permanently fix the underlying cause or problem. But this allergy relief does what it says and comes in safe doses for your pet. You can probably find this for less money at the grocery store or a local pet store.
