Well made. Comfortable to hold. Defintely not for pasta products. Great for fruits, veggies, etc.

The item is described as a 9 inch colander. It is actually a 6.5 inch colandar. If your looking for a decent size collandar skip over this and keep looking.

This is only about 6.5" in diameter, not the 9" it is advertised to be.

I really like this colander, I have been needing one for a long time. I cook 3 lbs. or more of hamburger at one time and have a hard time draining the grease. So now, I tip the pan on the side, and scoop out most of it then just pour the rest over this colander, in a bowl, much faster and easier than the old way. If you have hot soapy water ready, makes fast easy clean up too.

Was surprised at the quality (great) for the price. I have three sizes of this colander for pasta, prep work, etc. Water goes down the drain instead of puddling on my pasta due to the legs on these colanders, instead of a round ring holding the colander up, as with a lot of stainless steel and plastic colanders. Stainless has held up well in the dishwasher and has not rusted or spotted. Bought three more for my sister as gifts.

For decades I'd had a fine mesh wire colander which finally simply fell apart. It was only after a long search that I found this one by ExcelSteel. Just the right size. Fine wire mesh. Excellent handles for easy transporting from sink to kitchen counter. How much do I like it? Well, I bought two. One for my best friend and she is very, very pleased with it, as am I with mine.

This is the perfect size for me. I like the steel to begin with and the handles really work for me . I will prolly get a larger one just to have in case .

The handles on this strainer are a real plus; I may replace all my strainers with this type, as you can shake the water off your pasta, rice, or whatever without burning your hands.
