5.0 out of 5 stars Yeah for strong women!
.. ok, second time is the charm. Wrote a review earlier but it seems to be lost.. I admit I'd never read any of the Bombshell books until I heard Doranna was writing for them. But I had to buy her books and check them out, and boy I wasn't disappointed. Loaded with action and strong characters. Not your typical wimpy whining women of Romance novels of old. From the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not so excited
I agree the action and pacing is good- kick ass heroine- but I get kind of tired pretty quickly with Kimmer and her being dumbfounded by her attraction to Rio the male lead and her not being able to figure him out. Convoluted plotting. Use of cutesy nicknames for the various thugs is used throughout and we are supposed to find it as fun as the lead Kimmer does. I did not...

From the moment I started reading I couldn't stop. I highly recommend this book and any other from Doranna. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kimmer Rules!, October 26, 2004

I'm a huge fan of this author's work and confess I probably wouldn't have tried a Bombshell title if she hadn't written one. Wow. Okay, now I'm sold. Imagine the pace of the TV show Alias, the smart, emotional whammy of Buffy, and add characters you care about every minute. Did I mention humor and yummy leading man?
My only complaint? It's over too soon. MORE!!!!!

It uncommon to find such a suspenseful and emotionally engaging mix of vivid characters and electrifying action which takes place in a deceptively placid small town setting. International stakes and unusual encounters, resolution of deepset psychological issues, and an emotionally subtle, intense romantic relationship all come together to make this a great read. Highly recommended!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not so excited, January 1, 2006

Convoluted plotting. Use of cutesy nicknames for the various thugs is used throughout and we are supposed to find it as fun as the lead Kimmer does. I did not. I really like the Bombshell line in general- even with these speed bumps the women in daring roles and doing unconventional things is great- really pushes the envelope and provides a great model for future romances. I just wish there was some more one on one time with the hero and heroine. I know this is the first book in a series of adventures- but I would like to feel more solid about the romance element by the end of this book- not three books down the road.
