About the Author
Elizabeth Liagin is an independent journalist who works on a full time basis as a Washington correspondent for several overseas publications and news agencies. She has researched the political aspects of population change extensively, and has made several trips to Africa and the Middle East, as well as South America, Europe, and Western Asia, to study population programs and interview both recipients and providers of western "family planning" assistance. Her work is cited in a dozen or more books on related topics.
