3.0 out of 5 stars Not so complete, December 9, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Exchange 2000 Server: The Complete Reference (Paperback)
It's a good book but considering it's release well after Exchange 2000 came out you think it may have been checked slightly better. For example on 113 it refers to Chapter 23 and writing event sinks. This chapter doesnt exist and neither does the material. So maybe it's the 'Not quite' complete reference.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great reference book!, November 9, 2004
This review is from: Exchange 2000 Server: The Complete Reference (Paperback)
I've recently switched jobs and inherited about 50 Exchange 2000 servers, including a few clusters. I went to my local bookstore and picked up a used copy of this book. So far, it has been extremely valuable. It helped me solve a critical problem with one of our Exchange 2000 clusters, and I used the instructions to deploy Instant Messaging. I was able to quickly deploy it to a few hundred folks (getting ready to deploy to several thousand next). I also appreciate all of the attention paid to Exchange architecture and internals. We'll be upgrading to Exchange 2003 some time late next year, so hopefully the Exchange 2003 version of this book will be out by then. I recommend this book to all Exchange 2000 admins.

2.0 out of 5 stars I'm disappointed, February 6, 2003

This review is from: Exchange 2000 Server: The Complete Reference (Paperback)
Having purchased a number of "... The Complete Reference" books in the past, I must say that I am disappointed with this one. For all of the pages in this book, there really isn't much substance. There are too many illustrations with little text to back them up. I definitely would not recommend this book to a beginner. An experienced Exchange admin might value it as a reference but I believe that the Microsoft books are more useful in that capacity.
