I wanted to like this problem but I really struggled with so many issues:

***Spoiler Alert****

The h's twin sister was always spoilt and indulged and not once was this ever really addressed. The h was a doormat to her sister over the years and always gave in to her. This didn't change and even after she'd had the baby and had a relationship with the H, she still gave way for the sister to choose. It made me feel sick honestly.

The h was a continual doormat with the H too, she was more than happy to sleep with the H whenever and she knew that she didn't have a great chance of having a serious relationship with him. He even told her where she stood at one point. I did not believe that their love story was convincing. He was divorced suddenly and at the beginning we are led to believe that he is madly in love with his wife. Three months later he is having an intense sexual relationship with the sister.

The h was insecure about being a good mother to the baby right the way through. She is painted to be this unbelievably good and wonderful person but in my opinion she lacked character and backbone.

The whole story just stretched the bounds of reality for me.

This is no 5 star book. First- pick a story! Is the the story of Brianna orCasey? Truthfully I didn't enjoy either. Ms. Kellogg could you have given Brianna one more ailment...her learning disability, injured leg, brain tumor and infertility just weren't enough. As for poor Casey you needed to decide was Casey strong or weak cause she was just a mess of a character. This book was just plain painful to read. I can't believe I kept reading. What a sucker I am.

Laurie Kellogg has done it again. I LOVE her books. She takes characters and just tells their story. Our hero is a peditrician, loves kids. He is married to a twin that cannot have children. Her twin agrees to have the baby for them. They also need her egg. The plot thickens when the wife decides to divorce her husband leaving her twin pregnant with his child. Their story begins. There are lots of secrets and lots of lessons learned. I really enjoyed this story. Spent the day reading! It was worth it. I highly recommend this book. If you really enjoy a good romance with real people, you will not be dissapointed with this story.

I thought a few minutes before I left this review, but my feelings did not change. I thought the concept of a twin sister offering to surrogate for her sister and brother-in-law was good and having that marriage implode and the implications of that in everyone's life.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPOILER ALERT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPOILER ALERT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the problem. I do not expect great logic in romance novels, but either way you go with the plot from this point in the story can make you downright uncomfortable, but not quite at the I need a shower stage. Ms. Kellogg plans a "Gift of the Magi" theme to her novel where one sister wants a baby and the other wants her husband. Doesn't work, does it. If this were two friends instead of twins, I do not think this would be such a problem, but either way you look at it, our expectant mother gets shafted. She is not the beautiful twin, she is the nice one he is interested in until he sees her sister. She invites him to a party she had not planned to have and he overlooks her for her sister. The sister divorces David suddenly when the baby is at 4 months and she moves in with former brother-in-law and starts sleeping with him soon after. If she was not pregnant, she would need a Cher "Snap Out of It" style slap. Then sis gives her blessing to them forming a relationship. Yeah right. The story references a husband and wife who sacrifice for the other, but handing off the husband you no longer think you want is not like carrying a baby for your twin and then acting as an aunt to that Baby. Besides the Ick factor of that relationship, it was hard to care about these characters and they were often flat and stereotypes.

I have read the entire series (I hope there will be more). They are all such good romance stories. I read this in one day and couldn't put it down. I think I did the same with all of the other books in the series, too. I love that the author mentions characters from the other books throughout each book. I hate leaving them all behind. I will be excited to see what your next book will be.
