Very nice sword in my opinion.
Zephora Rose
Its a beautiful piece that, while you wouldn't want to bring it to a sword fight, it can cut through saplings and watermelons like nothings there.

If your looking for a pretty wall hanger though it's perfect.

I recently bought this sword on a whim and I can tell you it's better than I expected. For such a low price I thought I would recieve some cheap flimsy sword that would only be good for display, but I was wrong. The sword is perfectly sized. Not too small to where it's relatively unimpressive, but also not too big to where it's awkward to hold. The handle makes up roughly 6 inches of the sword and it's fantastic. The description says that the sword has a wooden handle, but it's more like polished wooden inserts inside a smooth metal frame. The combination of wood and steel, makes the blade very comfortable to hold but also very, very sturdy. The blade itself is great too. It's got a nice curve and balance point. Sharpness may be the only thing the blade lacks. While it is still very sharp it's not razor sharp. This was not an issue for me at all. I wouldn't try cutting through bone or anything like that, but for slicing up watermelons, this thing does the trick. The sword also comes with a sturdy zip-up sheath that makes it easy to insert and take out. Overall, this sword really impressed me. This is by no means a full on martial arts caliber sword, however if you're looking for some cheap laughs, fun, and a slight badass feeling, this is probably one of the best items out there.

I've been an avid collector of swords, from fully functional to stainless steel wall display pieces. This is one of those happy mediums. It is stainless, but it is functional to a point. Its a beautiful piece that, while you wouldn't want to bring it to a sword fight, it can cut through saplings and watermelons like nothings there. It came sharp right out of the box and is by far one of my favorites in my collection. A safe buy for anyone looking for a nice piece.

As a sword and knife collector, I've seen several good sword and several bad ones. This one sits somewhere in the middle, and I'm afraid it's leaning a little more towards bad than good. The blade itself came fairly sharp, no scratches, and it seemed fairly well put together. I notice that the ad said, "wood handle," but I feel it would be a little more honest to say that there are wooden inserts. As far as display swords go, it passes the test. The only complaint I would have about the sword itself would be that the blade doesn't hold an edge very well, because after fifteen minutes of use (clearing some brush) it had become noticeably dull.

The main reason I rated it three stars would be that the sheath is among the worst I've ever seen. There is no functionality, there is no durability, and it's somewhat of an eyesore. The zipper breaks far too easily, eventually rendering it entirely useless.

In short, if you buying a piece to hang on the wall, this is where you should be. However, if you're looking functionality, You might want to take your camel to the next market.

I just recieved my sword, it came well packaged and in a timely manner. I have a large collection of an assortment of swords, axe's and dagger's and I must say that this is a great one to add if your a collector. The tip is very sharp as is the blade, just to give you an example I was wipping it down and just brushed my habd along the blade and got cut. I was was surprised to fine it that sharp, didn't mind but be careful, again for the price this is a great buy. The weight is well balanced and easy to handle, I don't plan on using it for anything but for collection purposes but I am sure it will cut through almost anything "within reason of course". If you are a collector or just want to play areound this is a great piece to have. I personally give it a five star rating, the sheath and strap are pretty good so no worries it is worth it.

Beware, buyer! This a tiny, almost puny sword. I was hoping this could be Othello's sword. Laurence Olivier had a long, sleek scimitar in his performance of "Othello" from the 1960s, and I envisioned myself reciting those glorious speeches of Shakespeare's warrior paragon with this blade in my hand. Alas, it does not at all fit with my expectation of a scimitar, certainly nothing like the shinning blade wielded by Olivier. Of course, it might pass for a sword used by a character in "The Arabian Nights" - an anti-hero like Sindbad
perhaps, or one of the robbers in the Alladin story. But it is most definitely not the sword of a great warrior, or even a seasoned soldier. It's more like a dagger, perhaps favored by a murderer who can conceal it inside his cloak as he slinks up to his unfortunate victim. But I have no intention of playing such a dastardly role. I have a broad sword which is appropriately heavy but also wonderfully balanced - a sword worthy of El Cid! I also have two rapiers, long, light-weight, almost delicate with those curiously elaborate hilts that protect the hand inside. Those are wonderful replicas of European swords. Unfortunately, this scimitar does not belong next to those excellent swords.

the sword is very good, it comes fairly sharp and it looks great. the one problem i had was that the sheath/scabbard was made for left handed people. if you are right handed (which most people are) than wearing it will become very annoying because there is know easy way to pull it out and it is impossible to put it back in without taking the sheath off your back or belt. the sheath is also not very durable and tears easily at the seams. the sword is very good but if they made the sheath better and also for right handed people than it would give it five stars.
