I receieved this set secondhand from my aunt, who rarely used it (I went to her parties and never saw it taken out) yet it was in rough condition. On many frosted squares there were circles and semi-circles etched into them. It didn't take me long to find out why, when I played my first game against my granddad occasionally a soft grinding sound was audible. The circles on the board matched up perfectly with the pieces, and I discovered that on multiple pieces, the felt did not cover the entire bottom of the piece, and the exposed glass was making the markings. On the plus side, the pieces aren't fragile and have never broken despite falls, and it's well packaged in a lot of styrofoam, and the pieces themselves remain in pristine condition. Regardless, I cannot recommend this set.
