5.0 out of 5 stars My son loves this toy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute but not her favorite...
My daughter got this toy for her 1st birthday. She played with it a little but it just didn't seem to keep her busy. I think her favorite thing to do was pull the purple train off and try to put it back on. I like the toy but it wasn't a big hit with my daughter.

There are enough different noises/buttons/etc. to keep him interested for quite a while. It's definitely his favorite toy. The only thing I'd be concerned about if a child isn't able to stand well is that the toy isn't very stable; it will slide easily across the floor if a baby leans on it. We have it on a carpeted floor. I imagine it's even easier to push on an uncarpeted one. This can be good or bad. After a few minor tumbles, my son is standing much more steadily. His favorite thing to do is play the music and "dance". Sometimes he "sings" along, much to the delight of any one who is watching! I'd definitely get this for a young toddler as a gift.

5.0 out of 5 stars its the best activity table i've seen, January 2, 2002

This is by far the best activity table I have seen!! I gave it to my 11 month old twins for Christmas and there are enough activities to keep them both busy at the same time. The only catch... the little train kept falling off when one of the babies would play with it. I thought that it was the toy's only shortcoming, however, I found that the train just needs to be pushed into its slot with quite a bit of force (until it snaps) and then it's good to go - no little hand can pry it loose. I wish the directions had mentioned it because for the first week I just placed the train in its slot and the babies kept taking it out. Now its the perfect toy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Review Step-up-N-Go Discovery Center by Hasbro, December 9, 2001

My son (11 months) loves this toy. However, it tips over easily (when he pulls up on the toy) and slides on the floor easily. He has been hurt on this toy numerous times. My husband took the toy and threw it out the back door this morning because my son got hurt on it once again. I am going to take the legs off and let my son play with it that way. The toy is hazardous to a child who pulls up on it and who is not extremely steady with standing yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful one year birthday gift, April 11, 2001

Our daughter received this as a one year birthday gift. Timing was perfect as she had a strong desire to stand and cruise and we had nothing her height that was baby friendly. She enjoys cruising around the table playing with all the gadgets. Favorites are the musical buttons and taking the houses out of it's drawer. We've had no problems with it tipping over as she does not lean on it too much when standing. When pushed, it does slide over both carpet and hardwood floor. I remedy this by blocking a leg. I don't mind the sliding because she can practice her walking with something sturdier other than a walk-a-long.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but consider durability, December 20, 2001

We've had this toy for about a month now, It's great fun and keeps both a one and two year old happy for 5 minute bursts. It's quite easy to put together, but also quite easy for kids to take it apart. Doors, trains, etc. come off this toy with a slight tug, and it tends to slide a lot - I'm considering fitting rubber caps on the legs.
All in all, it's not a bad purchase, but don't think of it as a long-term investment. Bits are likely to get lost, and it's likely to get banged into walls, topple over, etc. quite a bit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Bad!, March 27, 2002

This was a x-mas gift for my 6 month old daughter who was learning to crawl and loved to stand up. The table was actually very sturdy, but it needs to be against a wall ot in the corner, because it will slide if you have carpet. she is still playing with it now at 9 months. She likes to move the toys and push the buttons. The only bad thing is, if you have a strong baby like mine, they will be able to pull of certain parts. The little purple train that goes back and forth is broken. So this can be a danger. Otherwise it is a good toy.

Not sturdy at all, but my son loves this toy. It tips over easily if he tries to pull himself up on it. I have removed the legs and leave it as a floor toy and he loves to push all the buttons. The train pulled right off (more then once) so I leave it off now.

My daughter loves this table and has for several months! She can spend a good amount of time playing with it. The lights and sounds are not too bright or too loud. She loves to open and close the storage box. I love it because I can put cheerios on it for her to snack on while she plays with it! She does pull the train piece off quite easily, however. But it doesn't stop her from playing with the table. My friends have the tables where the whole top lifts off for storage and kids tend to pull it off and never really use the table. This one has been very popular in our house!

My daughter is 10 months old and absolutely loves this toy! She just learned to flip up the little box that has the houses in it and is so proud of herself when she does it. She loves all of the buttons to turn on the music and it is a wonderful activity table for her to play with.

This was my son's favorite toy from the time he could stand until now, about a year later. Hours and hours for months on end he would stand and push the buttons and listen to the sounds and watch the lights. We had no problems with (...) sliding (...), but the train did come off easily and hasn't been used much. I didn't actually know that one toy could provide so many hours of entertainment for so many months for one child.
