I was looking for a action figure set of the whole Simpsons Family: Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. Now, here are the pros and cons.

Pros:
Contain of whole Simpsons Family
Cheap Price(Bought here)
Fun

Cons:
Living Room NOT compatible with other characters.

This retro flashback simpson's Playset has been designed to look as the Simpson's did when they first premiered way back on the Tracy Ullman show in the 1980's. This was a time when the figures looked a bit cruder and less detailed. They talked a little slower and deeper (especially) Homer.

Here we have Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and little Maggie all standing in their living room. Unfortunately the environment is not compatible with other figures but that's a minor complaint as this set is more of a specialized item anyway. And hey...for the $10 bucks that Amazon is dropping it for you won't get a better deal. Well worth it. Great display piece.

Unlike the 3 negative reviews above for this set I am totally HAPPY with mine. It arrived in absolutely MINT condition. there is not a crack/tear/rip/dent or messed up paint job anywhere on the set.
I still can't believe Playmates made this set. ...If you collect Simpsons WOS figures, then you need to get this NOW! before it's gone! ...

Look at the price! It's cheaper than a single action figure! Why are you reading this review? Five figures AND a playset featuring the Simpson family from the Tracey Ullman years at this low of a price is a must-buy for any Simpsons collector!

any simpsons figure or environment absolutely does the television show justice. with the actual phrases used on the show included, and the ability to plug various characters into various environments, playmates' simpson figures just plain rule! money well spent for any fan of the simpsons.

I bought the item since the prices are pretty good and to work on completeing my collection. All of my WoS Simpsons stuff is either MIMB or MOMC, so I was pretty happy to find this stuff for sale from a shop. I will say, though, the boxes are in pretty rough shape. The items inside are fine, perfect even, but the boxes have crushed corners and the figure's cards can be bent, creased, or folded. The sounds still work well, the paint and contents are not faded or dusty, and the pieces are as interesting as ever, but...

If you want the items out of box, you should be fine. If you are collecting the total piece, I'm not sure I would recommend Amazon.

This item is a great value. I picked it up for $6 shipped and it has 4 characters that talk. It's very simple to assemble and I am very amused whenever I hit the talk buttons. This isn't a toy to play with actively, more of something to display for Simpsons lovers.

I got excited around 2am when I saw this was five bucks with free shipping. I think it'll be one of those things that will sit in my room for a long time where i'll wonder to myself "what was I smoking when I got this and where can I get some more?"
