fantastic beats, November 29, 2000

from the introduction through the next 16 tracks, this is funky jazzy house at its best. after I heard kerri chandler in a club, I ordered this record from amazon.co.uk before it became available in the US. That was such a smooth move; at the next party, I put this on and people were freaking out. its from london, but to me it sounds like new york city, with latin flavor and uptown funk. yeahuh.

Saving house music from the trashbin of recycled beats, Chandler infuses it with the heart and soul of disco. As a result, listeners are reminded of why dance music can be so liberating and personal.
