On my second attempt, to fly this helicopter I sent it on a carpeted floor.
Marc Gonzalez
The transmitter has left/right trim adjustment, but the setting wanders on every flight causing the model to drift left or right on every flight.
Scott M. Whitney
If you read the instructions, it says to charge the heli for 30 minutes, and you should get 6-8 minutes of flight time.

I purchased the purple version of this helo.
I am highly disappointed with his helicopter for the following reasons!
1. After removing this helo from the packaging, I observed, that the propellers were too small for the size and weight.
2. Though the purple and silver color scheme was very nice, the detail paint job had a fuzzy lines and seemed to be hastily applied.
3. Whenever I receive a new helicopter, and remove it from its package, the first thing that I do is turn it on to see if it has been charged. Normally, with my better quality helicopters that comes straight out of the package, there's always a significant or full charge to the battery. When I turned on this helicopter there was no response at all, meaning, no lights began to flash. So I attached the helicopter to the charger to get power.
4. Upon the first charge, the charger appeared to be working properly. I turned the helicopter on, and turned the controller on to commence flight. I set the helicopter on top of a smooth hard surface (table top), and pushed the throttle up for power. The helicopter immediately began to spin in place, spinning and sliding off the surface and fluttered down to the floor. The helicopter did not ascend on its maiden flight.
5. On my second attempt, to fly this helicopter I sent it on a carpeted floor. Hoping that the carpet would help the helicopter take off from a surface that would not allow it to spin. The helicopter simply fell over and flip -flopped like a fish. I then attempted a another try and a helicopter managed to rise approximately 6-8 inches off the ground, and dropped back to the surface. I set the helicopter up again for flight, however the power had drained from the battery only after 1 minute of attempted flight.

I bought these for my 4 boys and my husband for Christmas. They all had so much fun. I should have gotten some for my girls ages 8 and 12 because they had just as much fun with them as my boys did. Its fun to be able to fly more than one at a time. strictly for the house, the slightest wind will blow them away. Very fun toy, great price. very durable for how many times they crash into things. Even survived flying into the sink full of dish water!!

I have a similar helicopter that works OK for what it is. This one, however does not generate enough power to lift-off. I received it for Christmas, so it is new, and under warranty. Cannot get the company to respond. Their "warranty" has proved to be worthless. Caveat emptor.

The copter had a stripped wheel that would not stay on out of the box, and the recharge battery charge life went from 8 minutes to 3 minutes in just days. But, we are enjoying it while it lasts.

I received one of these as a surprise post-Christmas gift after being seen having fun with my nephew's new chopper, and it's huge fun for this graying kid!

If you have one, a few tips:
1) Launch from your hand instead of taking off from the floor, and you will crash much less often (and break fewer parts).
2) Check the connecting rods. I lost one right away and noticed that the other one wasn't snapped in all the way at the factory. Haven't lost one since.
3) Fly over carpeting when possible.

So far the only parts to break have been the landing gear which seems to break too easily (broke 2 in the first 10 flights). For that reason alone, I'd recommend a model with the long runner-type landing gear instead. Runners are more flexible and would also cushion a hard landing better.

At first I doubted that stable flight was possible, but after practicing I can now keep it in the air for minutes at a time and fly figure eights. This clearly isn't the most durable toy, and the spare parts will run out eventually. But comparing the price to say, movie tickets, I'm easily getting my Mom's money's worth out of this thing, and having a hoot! (Thanks Mom!)

Very happy with this product! Wish there was a little more control steering the helicopter. Pretty durable and a lot of fun!
