DIAMONDS AND HIGH BODY COUNTS, May 15, 2010
This review is from: The Executioner: Blood Stone (Paperback)
Book number 281 in the Mack Bolan/Executioner series of books, this one written by Michael Newton. As I write this review there are now 379 books in the Executioner series, without counting the Super Bolan books which now number 134 books.
Book #281, BLOOD STONE, explores the link between diamonds coming into the country and the Mafia's tie in controlling and selling them. The plot stretches from initial meetings at Stony Man Farm, Virginia, across Europe (Antwerp) to South Africa. Interpol is also at work with a French speaking agent, Angelette Bettencourt, whom Bolan has to rescue early on from a certain Mafia death squad. She stays by Bolan's side helping with his mission. In that mission, Bolan will need go to Belgium and Africa (Angola) entering the pipeline to cut through the red tape to reach those at top who put a low value on human life and use slave labor to gain their huge profits. They have been tried and sentenced, with the Executioner rapidly coming their way.
Another page turner in GOLD EAGLE's fabulous series featuring Mack Bolan, the Executioner. Very appropriate cover art by artist Herring.
As Mack would say, "Stay frosty, live large.".
Semper Fi.
