I just bought this to put in my Polaroid 250 Land Camera, and it works wonderfully. The shutter works and the flash works, so this battery is doing its job. I looked into doing a AA battery pack conversion, but it is a lot of work, and it alters the camera. Keep the original parts and buy this battery!!!
Slightly pricey for my super old Polaroid Land Camera, but it works! No issues with it so far as far as compatibility. Packaging came in a plastic bubble bag which I don't think was the most secure but the battery works and there were no dents or leaks.
I bought this battery 10 years ago and stills works perfectly in my Auto 100. This is the ONLY battery to use on the classic pack film cameras. You won't get the reliability or the value of using alkaline AAA batteries.
The Polaroid Land Cameras used a zinc carbide battery that was unique for being 4.5 volts and using a single 9 volt style connector at top and bottom.
These batteries could last for decades as they didn't have much of a demand, only powering the light meter, but when they failed that was it. For a long time there was no direct replacement; what some people did was wire in a battery carrier with AAA cells which was close to the original specs.
This is a direct replacement that just pops in. Using alkaline chemistry it won't last as long as the original but that doesn't matter at this point. The only complaint I've had about this battery is the top cap was a little loose, but it was an easy fix with a pair of pliers.
I was really stoked to find this super hard to find battery. It was impossible to find this battery at the camera stores in my area. I was told that for whatever reason no one in the U.S. carries these batteries anymore and that I would have to jerry- rig my camera with other batteries and an adaptor. I really did not want a dangling battery appendage hanging from my already large camera. So when I saw it being sold on Amazon at such a reasonable cost and that the store wasn't out of the country, I had to make the purchase. It works wonderfully in my Polaroid Land Camera model 100 and saved me the hassle of trying to hunt down this obscure battery at local camera stores.
I bought this battery to go into my Polaroid Land Camera 210 or 230. I've seen reviews where you can run 3 AAA Batteries together to get the 4.5 volts, but I opted to drop the money into this battery and I'm glad I did. It clips on exactly like a vintage battery, without having to cut any wires or modify my camera in any way. It seems a little pricey for a battery, but it brings an old camera back to life. Couple this with FUJIFILM FP-100C 3.25 X 4.25 Inches Professional Instant Color Film and you're golden.
Perfect fit for my old Polaroid land instant film camera. Fits battery compartment and connectors. As long as the wires and Connectors are not corroded your good. No problem with this battery. Leave camera closed when not using or it will kill the battery. It will last a year or more as long as you don't leave camera unfolded when not in use. This will turn on the light sensors and activate the Battery. It may look cool on the shelf unfolded on display. If that's what you want to do, remove or disconnect the battery.cheers
The Exell A19PX 4.5V Alkaline Battery arrived just as expected, in great condition and on time. The battery was used for my Polaroid Land 100 Camera. I purchased the battery because the only alternative would be to convert the battery port to use three AA batteries. I was pleased to know that the camera still worked with the new battery and some good cleaning. I hope to get a lot of new photos with the camera, and having a new battery will help with that.
I bought this for my Polaroid Land Camera 100. I ended up getting impatient before my Amazon order arrived, and went to Batteries Plus and bought one (it was $15.99 plus tax there) and will keep the second as a back up when it arrives. I have no idea how long one of these batteries lasts in a 50 year old camera, so I figured it couldn't hurt to have a spare.
