Great pen for the price. Midwest always has made good products. Shipping was extremely fast. We rescued a new puppy and this has saved our furniture, rugs, sanity, etc. A neat feature it has (although I have not done it) is that you can attach a crate to it so your animial can access without leaving the x pen. It has corner stabalizers that protect your hardwood and keep the pen from tipping over when pushed from different angles. I received an email that the expected shipping was 7 days but I received it in 2. Great customer service. Also comes with yard stakes if you put it outside.

This is a great enclosure for your pet.

1. the seller is one of the best. I would recommend buying anything from them!
2. The fence is easy to put together, easy to secure to the ground (like a tent)
3. The hinges, the parts, are high quality.
4. It is odd that this is called an exercise pen though, as it is small when assembled. I have a 15 lb dog and it is small for him.
5. I suggest buying two. Then you will have a great exercise pen.....
6. Be careful on the height. We have a mixed terrier and he can almost jump over the fence, so a slightly taller one may have been beneficial.

Otherwise, great seller, and great product.

Bought this for my new puppy a couple months ago and it works great while she has to stay home all day! Enough room for a mid sized kennel, pee pad tray, bed, and food/water bowls + some room for playing! Easy to assemble and fold up too!

This pen arrived in great shape. It was easy to set up, and I was surprised by how effective the included ground stakes were. I had preemptively purchased additional stakes, but ended up returning them, as the ones that were included held the pen in place without any issue, even when my parents' big dog decided to lay against the side of the pen.
The pen is very sturdy, and so far my Pomeranian hasn't been able to climb out or open the latches. The size is pretty generous for him to lie outdoors in the sun, which he loves, but I'm thinking of getting a second one, so he can have space to pee and poop without having to be too close to the results.

I like that the exercise pen comes complete with the reinforcers/floor protectors, the ground stakes, and the clips to hold the ends of the panels together. I'm really pleased with the quality and value for the price.

For anyone setting this up for the first time, especially if it's going to be staying outdoors and/or has any scratches in the finish, I would suggest using WD-40 or another water displacer on the surfaces which will see wear (around the latches, around the clips, around the permanent clips holding together the panels together) and repairing any wear to the finish with nail polish, spray paint, or other paint.

Bought this play pen at the recommendation of a friend just prior to us getting our puppy. This play pen is great for keeping your puppy (or small dog) confined to a safe area if you don't feel like putting your dog in a crate/kennel; but do not want them to be outside either. The play pen can be re-sized to make the pen smaller or bigger, based on the available space and personal preference. If you have a wire-mesh crate, you can also link it to this play pen by the provided "clips" allowing your dog to be confined to a designated area while keeping their "den" nearby.

We put ours in the basement on a laminate floor and it gives my black lab a little room to spread out while I'm working. It comes with some round tube-like devices that are supposed to keep it in shape. These things are totally useless and are often popping off and my lab is chewing on them so I took most of them off, and that's why I rated as I did. I can think of a few different designs that would work better, but I suppose that would increase the cost. I have a mellow guy so it's no problem for us, but he does lay against the side and that pushes the pen around. I've thought about making a base for it that would keep it in shape.

I think it has a value in many installations, but I have to keep moving it around because it never stays in shape. At least my dog is often sleeping when he's in it and hasn't tried to push his boundaries. If you have an active dog who's working to get out, it might be a problem as it will slide all over the room until it hits another object. This could scratch the floor or deform the gate enough for a really determined dog to get a nose under it. The wire gauge isn't heavy enough to keep such a dog from pushing it up and going under it either. I also think if my black lab got his paws on the top, he's push it over in some situations. He's not that kind of dog, though, and he's always supervised while he's in it, so it works as advertised.

I'd like to see some sort of lateral floor brace, or better connecting top braces and this would be a super product. Perhaps they sell something, I haven't checked. Use it outside with the anchors and I think this would also be a moot issue. It's a good product, just be aware of your dog type.

The exercise pen is convenient and easy to set up - that's the plus side. On the minus side, I found that the construction of the pen is cheap and flimsy. The wire used is too thin - a TEN week old siberian husky puppy was able to bend it out of shape. I have a crate for the pup, also made by MidWest which is of good quality with heavy gauge wire. I'm extremely disappointed as the wire used in the exercise pen is little more than half the size. The finish is an even bigger problem. I bought this pen ONE month ago and its already rusting through the finish. The pen has never been outside or exposed to the elements so the fact that it's rusting after a month is completely unacceptable. I now have to dispose of this pen as it is not safe to keep an animal in a rusty cage. Thoroughly disappointed and would not recommend to anyone. A waste of money that I will actively discourage as many would be purchasers as I can.
