Do not assume the main text includes this portion. It does not. It too, is a 3 ring loose bound notebook type. No money to be saved rather than buy at college book store. It is as advertised.

The book was better than I expected, not only did it include the exercises for the lab, but it also included a photographic atlas for the bacteria colonies so I could compare my results to actual photos. It was wonderful that I could get two books for the price of one.
