UPDATE: A YEAR LATER!!
Hi everyone it has been a wonderful healthy year on my treadmill desk. I lost weight, almost 20 lbs, which is all I had to lose. I am now as thin as I was as a teenager, and that was over 20 years ago. The treadmill has held up well and I log about 6 miles a day on it..wonderful!!! Everyone who has a desk job should get one of these. It has given me more energy as well.

I just received this treadmill three days ago, and it was a cinch to set up, just a few minutes and I was up and walking. My main purpose for this treadmill is for a treadmill desk, and I need a model that is very quiet at low speed and can deliver consistent speed. I looked at every treadmill on the market, and this one won me over because of the controls on the handlebars, so i don't have to make room on my desk for a bulky control console, and its claim of being quiet. It is so quiet that i can hear my kids in the next room, the radio is at a normal volume and I can still hear myself think. Thank you Exerpeutic for delivering on that promise! This treadmill can handle up to 400 lbs, and the designers put a lot of thought into the dimensions of this design. It has a wide belt, and extremely sturdy side arms, plus lots of room in front of the console. I also like that it only can go up to 4 miles per hour, plenty fast for a brisk walk. I do not intend to jog or run on it, so that was not a negative for me. I have assembled my desk at just below elbow height, above the handlebars (the console I ended up mounting upside down,to fit it under the desk, since I only use the handlebar controls). I am 5'4 and it may not work for a shorter person unless you get a desk specifically designed for a treadmill. The length of the belt is relatively short, but honestly I am only using about half of the length. A very tall person walking very fast(faster than I jog!) might need a longer belt, but for most people this should fit the bill. I typed this review from my treadmill desk, and I couldn't be more pleased with this treadmill. Great walking treadmill!

I love this treadmill!! I researched for quite a while before I found this walking treadmill...I received it three weeks ago and I've used it everyday since, sometimes twice a day!! It was very easy to put together, took about 20 minutes, the only thing necessary was to unfold the unit and attach the control panel!! The features are perfect for me, especially the wider 20" belt, I have mobility limits due to cerebral palsy and my gait is uneven...most treadmills in this price range are very narrow, this one works out beautifully for me...also I love the longer handles for getting on and off easily, the handle controls are great!! The control panel has just enough features, not a ton of bell and whistles like several other treadmills seem to have, just enough for what someone who's walking needs to know!! Also, I have not experienced any belt slippage which I was worried about, the belt is very secure out of the box, no adjustment needed, the length of the belt is great too!! The treadmill is easy to fold up, and doesn't require that much room when it is set up...very quite as well, I would describe it as a low hum when it's on!! The speed comes on at the slowest, and is easily adjusted from the handle controls...the timer is great, easy to set, and turns off the treadmill at the end of the session...simple but perfect!!

I am a Amazon prime member, so the shipping was free and the treadmill arrived on the day they said it would...the delivery person even helped bring the box in when it arrived!! I couldn't be happier with the performance, size, price or features...this treadmill was the perfect choice for me, or anyone who needs a secure place to walk and keep moving!!

We purchased this treadmill based on written reviews online as well as its dimensions and weight capacity. It seemed the perfect treadmill....Boy, were we wrong! Delivery was on time and in semi-good condition (one small hole in the side of the box, but the contents looked fine). Set-up was easy and done in under 15 minutes. Then we turned it on! It did not even run for 10 seconds before an error of 'E2' came onto the display and an incessant beeping began. Reading the owner's manual, it said to disconnect the treadmill and call the number listed on the page so that they could assist in repairing the problem. It sounded simple enough...until we could get absolutely no response from the company (we called and left 3 messages as well as an e-mail message). So after much disappointment and frustration, we called Amazon who offered to assist us in returning the item. (Amazon receives 5 Stars for excellent customer service, by the way! They even set up the UPS pick-up for us! No hassles, no worries! We will remain faithful Amazon customers for this, and we feel secure in our purchases, so THANK YOU to Amazon!) But we are now left treadmill-less until we review and purchase another. Better luck to others who may purchase this equipment, just be aware!
