Seen them live...,

I stumbeled upon these guys live in Philly while I was on vacation. I was instantly hooked. Very addictive sound. Catchy. I was tapping my foot to the songs as if I had already heard them...and the singer is a very talented alien. ;)
BLOW IT OUT is my favorite song on the album.

Not contemporary garbage!,

Compared to what's currently being released on the market, this piece definitely deserves five stars. My only regret is that the album clocks in at around thirty minutes, considering that the Features have many more (and much better) songs in their unreleased catalog. If you like the Kinks, Cars, or Talking Heads, certainly give this band a try.

Hard not to love,

I saw the features in summer 2005 supporting King of Leon and this was the first time i had heard them. Normally you dont expect much from a support band, but the Features got everyone in the room up on their feet with their catchy tunes, brilliant lyrics and great stage presence. This is their debut album (though they have loads of other great songs from their back catalogue) and every song on it could be a single in its own right. I listen to this album over and over because it never gets boring. I love the track "Idea of growing old" (i put it on a compilation cd to play in my local pub and even the old men love it!!!) it just makes you smile, the lyrics are so heartfelt and the tune is the type that gets stuck in your head for days. I also really like Kari-Ann which conjurs up an image of a dusty american town in the 70s which is odd as im from Croydon in the 1990s, just goes to show how lost in the Features music you can get!!!!
