THE CHILD DEVIANT,

As always with ISC, this album comes complete with lyrical printout and amazing artwork. The music hasn't changed much since they sighned on to Metropolis Records, though the technoligy has increased a little. If your new to ISC, the music is categorized as Dark electro/Industrial/Future Pop. Anyways, the second track, 'Promissed Land', is kinda cool, but the third track, 'Forbidden Fruit', is by far the best track on the album, and in my opinion...the best ISC song ever made. Following from there..'Fading Light' is a nice female/male vocal tradeoff....followed by 'Wintermoon' wich has some good Neo-Gothic/elctro-guitars/synths/synth pop vibes. Track 6 is great, though it's in German...as are the next four of five tracks. All in all, another interresting ISC album. Not Perfect....but damm good.

I am new to In Strict Confidence. "Where Sun and Moon Unite" is my first ISC cd and "Exit Paradise" is my latest ISP cd. What appealed to me was their song "Promised Land" with Antje Schultz on vocals. I heard this song on the band's MySpace page and immediately fell in love with the song. I loved the melodies, Antje's vocals, and the EBM beats. I must say I like the remixes to "Promised Land" and "Wintermoon" more so than the versions on "Exile Paradise". I definitely preferred the remix version of "Wintermoon" over this album's version because of the vocals and the pace of the song was slightly slower than the remix version. I think my favorite song on the entire cd is "Fading Light". The blend of both Dennis and Antje's vocals really works here the best. The song has a lot of energy. A few of the songs took a few listens for me to get accustom to. Overall solid album. I will definitely have to check out ISP's other cds.

I have loved ISC for years...but while this cd SOUNDS good, they seem to have lost the edge they once had and have gone more commercial. Some of the songs here can be found on the EP in different, harder mixes. It's all just a little too smooth here. I am also disappointed that they have not progressed forward in theme....it seems they are hung up on this angel verses man war theme...or a demonic/religious theme. It's ok, but they have done it before on the brilliant "Holy" and did it better.
Two songs are good on here, I will say. "Fading Light" is a great EBM piece, and perhaps the best song on this cd. The second is "Promised Land". The other songs are just way too slow and bland to be of much interest. ISC is at it's best when it does EBM, which is not this cd. It just lacks substance. But it's good pop if you're looking for less that won't stay with you. Get "Holy" instead or the EP

I was severely disappointed in the release of "Exile Paradise". I had waited for it...and when I listened to it...it just seemed so flat and dull compared to the previous works of ISC. I found 2 songs that were good..."Promised land" and "Fading Light" which cracked with energy. But the rest of that relase, although blessed with the new addition of Antje Schulz, formerly of Chandeen, the whole thing just lacked interest.
But, here, although it is the same album remixed, ISC rebounds with another masterpeice! A vast improvement --- the heart is in this work. On Holy (The Hecq Destruxxion), the song "Eye Of Heaven" was given a surreal, mystcal feel to it...here it continues on "Promised Land" It could be part 2 to an epic. How strange that 2 songs from 2 different places in ISC could be joined in sound and feel....simply amazing! And dreamy. Exile Paradise (The Hecq Destruxxion)is a very surreal work....and is edgy all the same...i can't recccomend it more

I am recent to ISC and I have fallen in love with the songs Promised Land and Away From Here. I am enthralled with the artwork from Exile Paradise and would reccommend this album to anyone starting their electro/dark/ebm collection!

I am a more recent fan of ISC, having been awakened to their musical genius by their HOLY release. What can I say about HOLY that hasn't already intimated by others? I will admit that Exile Paradise is somewhat mellower [than HOLY], but what it lacks in energy it more than makes up for in delivering emotional and intellectual stimulation. My first listen was a truly phenomenal experience, I'd even go so far as to say "spellbinding" (which is what motivated me to rate this CD here). Yes, Dennis's voice is more melodic and less groveling than earlier releases, which to me is much more appealing and revealing of his mesmerizing vocal talents. And the addition of female vocalist Antje Schultz is the icing on the cake, as it was when she provided vocals on HOLY. I'm thrilled to see the use of more female vocals. But regardless, whatever the mix of melodies ISC created on HOLY, Exile Paradise is equally, if not more deeply intoxicating, for this music moves the body, mind and soul. If you don't have it yet, get it- you won't be disappointed.
