If you are a diehard Law and Order fan, this is probably a must have. It closes the story to Detective Mike Logan in a much better way than the episode "Pride." I was skeptical that this was even legit when I even saw this DVD on amazon, I was unable to find it anywhere else, and indeed it was legit. Seeing as it airs on television practically every 10 years, I would recommend this to any Law and Order fan who missed this on cable.

Great movie version of L&O with Chris Noth. What's not to like!! This will be a classic which takes it's place alongside the seasons. This is a special treat if you like Chris Noth, and even if you didn't see him in the early seasons, this movie will make you a believer. This movie version is first rate, made more so by the wonderful cast: Ben Bratt, Jerry Orbach, S. Epatha Merkerson, Sam Waterson, and some of the other regulars from the early seasons. You will definitely like this one!!!

Chris Noth and Jerry Orhback were the best combinatiuon of detectives in the long history of this show. This movie takes Detective Mike Logan and explains what happened to him after he punched the Councilman and was banished to Staten Island. It is well acted.

We had this movie on the original VHS (DVD was not heard of yet when this was aired). The transfer to DVD was very good, and it's nice to know we now have the movie in equal quality format to all our Law & Order Seasons. Keep an eye out though, if you are procrastinating on buying this, as it seems to go in and out of stock.
Also, it is NOT included in the super expensive Box Set collection that came out several months ago, so you need this movie to help fill one of the holes in that collection!

I did not even know this movie existed until after i bought the law and order the complete series box set, and i am a pretty big law and order fan. the movie is great and kind of explains what happened to logan (chris noth) between law and order and criminal intent, and also has the beginings or testing ground for fin (ice-t) in the s.v.u. series. well worth the money, but thats coming from someone who owns the complete series of law and order, s.v.u., criminal intent, trial by jury, and law and order L.A. (and no law and order U.K. does not count because ive watched paint dry that was more interesting).

Like it because it shows how the character of Mike Logan was able to come back from Staten Island and work as a detective on the Law & Order Criminal Minds franchise. I am curious as to know though why it is not closed captioned. Also this shows why a detective by the name of Profaci who was a semi-regular on the original Law & Order suddenly disappeared.

This is a good movie that ties in a lot of players and answers some questions about Chris Noth's character
