A few years ago, I sold my small business with 100 employees to a competitor and did not use a business broker to handle the transaction. This is an easy afternoon read, and does an excellent job of covering all the bases of selling a small business, and addresses the topic in a very non-complicated manner, even though the actual process is usually quite complicated. With over 20 years in the brokerage profession, and as Past President of the California Association of Business Brokers (CABB), and 2007 Chair of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), I can say without a doubt every Small Business Owner, and prospective Buyers, should read this book, along with anyone new to the Business Brokerage profession. From a Business Broker's point of view this is a great book. I plan on suggesting to each of prospective sellers to buy this book and use it as a guideline. I will also suggest to my buyers to read this to get a better understanding of what gives a business value. This is no secret and something everyone needs to know.
