I have to credit Monchy Y Alexandra with my addiction to bachata. Thank you guys so much. When "Te Quiero Igual Que Ayer"came out, I was in love with the song and it was downhill from that point. I bought their CD and now i finally downloaded the rest of their albums from Amazon. The combination of great instruments, upbeat rhythms and their voices makes this music a real treasure. I can't get enough of your music.

Loved the music, though most of the songs sound quite similar and the music does get a bit repetitive after a while. (-1 star)

HOWEVER, the CD I received is a deliberately non-standard CD (it does not even have the usual "Compact disc Digital Audio" logo) and will NOT play in computer CD drives using standard programs such as iTunes and Windows Media Player. It also doesn't work in my car's player and the CD/DVD drive on my Mac refused to read the CD altogether. On my PC, I could see the audio files in Windows Explorer, but they show up as only 1 KB long. I did a bit of digging around and at least on the PC there are some programs such as VLC that are able to play (and rip) the disc, but it's a pain to get it all working to correctly create MP3 files for use with iTunes/MP3 players.

For the non-standard format and inability to use with iTunes the CD really deserves ZERO STARS, but it wouldn't be fair to the musicians. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to ding Sony with a 0 review for deliberately creating and selling a defective product. One less star is probably fair to let people know there is an issue.

I can listen to this cd over and over. The recording is of good quality. Each song, written and performed from the heart, makes you think of a tropical paradise on the shores of the Dominican Republic. Monchy and Alexandra in Exitos showed their mastery of the exotic Bachata. Don't speak Spanish? No problem. You will still enjoy it. I have family members who do not speak Spanish, and still can listen to this cd for hours, and even attempt to dance to it! I gave one to my mom as a gift, and she listens to it almost everyday. She knows all the songs' lyrics and loves it!

I love this CD, listen to it in the car mostly. It cheers me up, has great beat and I enjoy their voices.

For anyone who enjoy bachata music! Buy it you won't regret. I also recommend Aventura.

This group just gets better with each release, and this will have a special place among my Monchy & Alexandra collection.
