5.0 out of 5 stars THE MOST COMPLETE WORK ON THIS SUBJECT!!, April 16, 2004

This review is from: The Exodus Case: New Discoveries Confirm the Historical Exodus (Hardcover)
For any person interested in the Exodus of Israel in 1400 B.C. from Egypt, Dr. Lennert Moller's book, THE EXODUS CASE is by far the most complete work on this miraculous subject. The most striking single element is the photographic proof of chariots from the 18th Egyptian Dynasty strewn across the 120 foot deep ocean floor between Nuweiba beach on the east coast of the Sinai Peninsula, and stretching 8 miles to the west coast of Saudi Arabia. The chariots are spread evenly across the 8 miles, and include the bones of both humans and horses. Dr. Moller's book takes the serious inquirer step by step from the ancient Egypt of Imhotep (actually Joseph with the coat of many colors), through the 430 years of hebrew slavery, the 10 plagues, the Exodus route, and finally the arrival at the true Mount Sinai in the ancient land of Midian. There are 500 photos on glossy paper (better than National Geographic) including detailed satellite photos of the entire route. How does Dr. Moller know it's the true Mount Sinai? Because every artifact named in the Bible is there...exactly as it should be...as if the events happened a year ago. The top of the mountain is burned with intense heat, melting the solid granite into obsidian. The Gold Calf Altar is at the base of the mountain. The 60 foot tall Split Rock at Horeb is there with compelling evidence of substantial hydraulic shaping inside the split and then down the hill to a dry river bed finally to the ancient dry lake bed that measures two miles by one mile. All of the solid rock along the waterway is deeply eroded by the hydraulic action of the water flow. The Altar of 12 Pillars is there. The markers to hold the people back from the mountain are there. The bush that burned is there. Elijah's cave is there. The graves of the 3,000 men who were put to the sword for worshipping the Gold Calf are there. Once again, if you want a complete study of this miraculous period in Biblical history, Dr. Lennert Moller's, "The Exodus Case" is your book.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE EXODUS CASE needs to be read by every person who has heard about Moses and the Exodus!, August 22, 2005

This review is from: The Exodus Case: New Discoveries Confirm the Historical Exodus (Hardcover)
Dr. Lennart Moller works at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden where they award NOBEL PRIZES -- and this book shows that for the first time in human history we have actually located actual physical evidence that verifies the Exodus story from the Bible! The book is an expansion of the work that was done by the amatuer archaeologist Ron Wyatt who spent 22 years making over 100 trips overseas from America to work on these discoveries, and passed away in 1999. Dr. Moller has scientically investigated the sulfur ball evidence that is located at the Sodom & Gomorrah sites near the Dead Sea that Ron located in 1989, plus Dr. Moller shows the solid evidence for Joseph's grain bins being located at the pyramid complex at Sakkara -- plus Dr. Moller maps out the ONLY logical route of the Exodus which leads to the beach at Neuweba where Moller has used a robotic underwater camera to photograph coral-covered chariot wheels and coral-covered human and animal bones! And finally there is the stunning evidence for Jebel el Lawz in Saudi Arabia being the REAL Mt. Sinai -- everything is there that the Bible describes! The golden calf altar, the giant rock at Horeb that the water flowed out of, the mountain top is burned black -- the evidence is stunning! Dr. Moller has also produced a DVD of this material that came out a few years ago called THE EXODUS REVEALED, and with the help of Mahoney Media Dr. Moller has completed a 2-hour documentary film that will hopefully be released in the theaters in the Fall of 2005! Again, this is the first time in human history that this material has been there for us to investigate, and I sincerely hope that everyone will be willing to take an honest look at it! I myself spent 10 years working with the late Ron Wyatt, and from 1994 to 1996 I managed Ron's 1st museum that was located in Tennessee -- and I am thrilled at the further work that Dr. Moller has done with these archaeological sites!

5.0 out of 5 stars Archeological findings support texts in The Old Testament of the Bible, January 9, 2007
This review is from: The Exodus Case: New Discoveries Confirm the Historical Exodus (Hardcover)
The aim of the project described in the book was to try to find possible archeological evidences for the story told in the Genesis and Exodus of The Old Testament: that of Abraham, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, and the exodus of the people of Israel, from Egypt to Horeb (Mount Sinai). The major part of the work was done by a late US amateur archeologist and his discoveries were evaluated and put together in a book by the author who is professor at the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden. The text is well written with a critical attitude, easy to read and accompanied by 556 first-class illustrations. It is a really fascinating story about something which happened about 3500 years ago. The conclusion is that the biblical texts referred to describe true historical events. The author is to be congratulated on this work.

1.0 out of 5 stars Gold wheel is a Ron Wyatt fake, March 1, 2006
This review is from: The Exodus Case: New Discoveries Confirm the Historical Exodus (Hardcover)
The dust jacket says "This book is based on the discoveries made by Ronald E. Wyatt", but there are only three paragraphs about Wyatt, and nothing is said about Wyatt's reputation.

To find out all about Ron Wyatt, google Gunderson Amirault Wyatt. Here's a sample:
* A Nashville TV producer's wife "was told by one of Ron Wyatt's sons that the chariot wheels that Ron supposedly discovered in the Gulf of Aqaba were planted there by Ron".
* John Baumgardner, a Christian geophysicist who initially believed Wyatt and travelled to Mount Ararat with Wyatt, wrote in 1996 that "I am almost 100% certain that Ron 'planted' them [rivets on the Ark]."
* Wyatt claimed to have discovered Noah's Ark, Mount Sinai in Arabia, the Red Sea crossing location, Sodom and Gomorrah, the hole in the ground where Jesus' cross stood, drops of Jesus' blood, and the Ark of the Covenant, but he never showed these last three "discoveries" to anyone.
* Linda Gunderson wrote, "Is Ron Wyatt the greatest archaeologist who ever lived? Or is there another explanation?"

This book mixes Wyatt's photos with far less impressive photos from other people, and the only way to tell which photos are from Wyatt is with the Photo Credits (p.314). Also, in both this book and The Exodus Revealed (DVD), Moller talks about how he's a scientist and how delicate the gold wheel is without disclosing that he hasn't physically examined the gold wheel or even seen it (only Ron Wyatt has seen it).

5.0 out of 5 stars Thought Provoking And Worth Reading, September 12, 2006

This review is from: The Exodus Case: New Discoveries Confirm the Historical Exodus (Hardcover)
Dr.Moller has written a fascinating book that seeks to harmonize events surrounding the Biblical Exodus with Egyptology and the recent "re-discovery" of the real Mt. Sinai in Saudi Arabia (Jabal Al-Lawz).

If Moller did not use words such as, "it is the hypothesis of this book" or other terminology suggesting speculation on his part, the book would be less credible. But he admits to speculating, and his speculations are fascinating (even if historically questionable at a few points).

Many of the photos and research in this volume was done by Ron Wyatt, the controversial amateur archaelogist. Although I am not a Wyatt fan, others have confirmed some of his key discoveries (e.g., Bob Cornuke).

Moller suggests that Joseph's history is incorporated in the legend of Imhotep; yet, Imhotep lived too early for Joseph. Nonetheless, many events and attributes ascribed to Imhotep fit Joseph. Perhaps a better theory is that the Imhotep legned is the combination of the original Imhotep WITH Joseph; it would have been unpopular, when the Hebrews became slaves, to have a Hebrew Hero-type Grand Vizier like Joseph, so the legends were combined. This, then, allows one to believe that the Imhotep legend does indeed include Joseph while not creating havoc with a 600 plus year problem between Imhotep and Joseph.

The idea that Thutmosis IV was the same person as Amenhotep III is a bit weak because the Valley of the Kings would then have two tombs per pharaoh, something that only the early pharoahs did (and then not in the same area). The Pharoah of the Exodus could very well be Amenhotep III.

The author traces the crossing of the Red Sea to an underwater bridge (complete with photos of calcified chariot parts at the bottom of the Red Sea) and takes us all the way to Mt. Sinai.

Moller relies upon the accuracy of the Biblical account (and I appreciate that), and fills in many details along the way. I found the book intriguing and worthwhile. Although I may be a bit uncertain about all of his speculations, many of them harmonize well.

The style is a bit odd; it was originally written in Swedish and then translated into English. It is clearly translated, but the style is a bit "different" (perhaps "lackluster" might be a better term). But the content makes up for the style.

The book contains over 500 photos and maps.

I recommend this book with the caveat that readers remember that much of this is speculative. But it is good stuff.

This book is a must have to anybody interesting in the truth about God's word. The amount of information will draw you to it and if you are a true believer in God, you will share it with your family and friends. I have bought 10 EA so far and gave them all away and I will continue with God's blessing to do so. I strongly recommend it with the companion DVD as a great gift of love.

2.0 out of 5 stars Du réchauffé, June 19, 2011
This review is from: The Exodus Case: New Discoveries Confirm the Historical Exodus (Hardcover)

I absolutely loved this excellently written and beautifully finished book. The author appeals to the reader's logic and gives so much proof in the way of photos and references. I have read the book several times, it has so much to take in, it takes time to absorb all the faith inspiring information. S.Knape
