This text provides detailed current exegesis on the Book of Exodus. The author provides an introduction to the text and proceeds to exegete the book passage by passage. He divides the book into two thematic sections: I. The Power of YHWH and II. The Presence of YHWH and deals with J and E texts as "Non-P history" in contrast with "P History."
If you are serious about studying Exodus this is an essential tool as it brings scholarship up to date and provides an accessible entry into the text.
