exodus from obesity by Paula Peck, July 1, 2010
This review is from: Exodus From Obesity (Kindle Edition)
if you wish to understand what it is like to have or if you are going to have weight loss surgry. Then this is the book for you. It hides nothing from the prospective paient. Ms. Peck tells you just how the whole thing works maby not all the fun things like the nausa or the other things like never wanting the sight of broth again or the sight of water when you have had nothing but water for five months straight. However she does not hide a thing medicaly. I know that i make it sound so wonderful but you better read this book and a couple of times and a few others before you even think about having this surgery. Yes i am very serious about this
i have had WLS and let me tell you it is not fun. one of the other things she talkes about in her book is to check out your doctor. This is one of the most inportant things in the world because the man is going to go inside of you and rearange your insides to take out two thirds of your insides out you had better know if you trust the man with your life. this book was one of the best books i read before i had my WLS and she totaly gave me the 411 on the inside of the medical side of the situation. Oh and make sure as she says "service after the fact is also very inportant". Cook Books are very important but not for at least six to eight months down the road.
