Awesome new cd from the "new" Plus ONE!,

I love this cd! I was a little doubtful at first when i heard that the three remaining members were going rock, but the result is great. The guys have matured musically and the lyrics to some of the songs have really touched me. Some of my favorites are Outlaw, Poor Man, Exodus and Circle, but come to think of it, i like all of them! The guys wrote all the songs (including their first single, Be love) except for one, a well known worship song. You should definately buy this cd-you won't be disappointed! Plus One, you are the best! And to conlude, three simple words: This cd ROCKS!!!

I love this CD. I love the way Plus One weaves God into their songs (all of wich sound different from the others). When I originally got this CD I didn't care for it much. But I decided to give it a chance and it's what I listen to most of the time now. This group is so passionite about God. This CD is rounded toward the Rock side and even has maybe 4 lines of rap. The hardest song is poore man but it talks of Jesus showing a man down the correct raod which will lead to gold (heaven). Awsome CD and suggest it to just about anyone in their teens.

B Plus for Plus One,

`Exodus' is the new rock sound of Christian boy band Plus One. When they first appeared on the scene with their slickly over produced debut some years ago, I wouldn't have touched their music with a 10 foot pole.
Then I heard a rocky song from this CD on radio (I don't recall which song it was) which I liked, so decided to give them a try when I saw the CD. Not bad; not too crazy about the lead singer Nate Cole's Michael Jackson-ish/Darren Hayes whine though, but he does his best with it. My absolute favourite is the beautiful mid tempo rocker `Exodus' where the flexibility of his voice is really exhibited, and dramatic musical effects and changes. A cry for God's deliverance. Most of the songs sound like the Newsboys' recent sound. `Circle' is a tender mid tempo rocker about wanting to `make my life a circle of worship to God'. Their cover of `Here I am to worship' is good, not as great as the original though. Opening track `Outlaw' is an upbeat rocker which starts out gentle, and builds to a rocky chorus, and a delightful piano break. It is a song telling us we can outrun our past/blame like an outlaw. A favourite song. Other standouts are `Be love', `Like a kite', the atmospheric `Sea of angels', the equally atmospheric `Quest of many trails', and the rock guitar laden `Poor man' which tells us we came bare and naked, and will leave just the same. Great guitar effects, with melodramatic changes. Another favourite of mine. I look forward to new music from Plus one, I just hope they continue to push the envelope as they have with `Exodus'.

nice job from a revamped Plus One,

Before this CD, Plus One was known as the first truly Christian boy band. Exodus chronicles a transition for the band, with the members choosing to emphasize the "band" part more than the "boy" part. With electric guitars and drums completing the ensemble, Plus One has gone in a new direction. However, that doesn't mean that they have lost their Christian witness or their awesomeness. On the contrary, their popularity has increased multiple times and they definitely haven't lost their Christian testimony, choosing instead to load their songs with the same lyrics that powered them to the top of the charts to begin with. There are many powerful songs on this CD, like Sea of Angels, Poor Man, and Tonight. All in all, this CD was a great purchase and will not soon leave my CD collection. P.S. Be prepared to have this CD in your player for a long while... It's that good.

When I first heard this Cd I thought " Yeah its alright." but as time went by a became hooked! The songs will begin to speak to you personally. There is a great use of metephors and I think it makes the Cd all the more unique. I highly recommmend this cd. And if you buy it allow it time, because I have spoken to others, as well as myself, who have become hooked even though its 1st impression was just ok.

I have all of Plus Ones CD's and when i heard this 3rd one, I was very impressed. They have a beautiful smooth sound that is full of beautiful vocals by Nate Cole the lead singer. The past two albums are bad examples of what their music now sounds like. Plus One has matured a lot and now have a more put together CD. The lyrics are also undoubtedly amazing. They express fine thoughts with flowing, almost angelic poetry. They express thoughts with an articulacy that I can't describe. They even include a worship song which I believe points to the fact that this album was entirely an offering up to God.

this CD was passionate with the work that was put into it...i don't like the fact that there are people out there that only liked PLUS ONE just because they are POP!! i like them for the lyrics and their excellent voices. you shouldn't be going for things because they have a beat. my advice is to look for music because they have heart in to their music and really want the world to know what they are saying and/or feeling. i say this is an excellent item, infact i love it more than their previous work. :-)

better than i thought,

i was a little doubtful to learn that plus one was now minus two members and switched from boy band pop to more rock...i definitely prefer the latter, but i didn't think plus one with three members and writing their own songs could handle it. i was wrong, because they definitely handled it, and well! i am VERY impressed by their efforts--only a little disappointed by the lack of much variety in the songs. they are all great-sounding, but sometimes they remind me of each other and all have the same general sound. there are no really catchy songs that stand out, and no quieter, more contemplative songs excluding the worship song "here i am to worship". other than that, i have no complaints!

Although they split up before they made this Cd, they still have a great sound to them. Yes, most of their songs are pretty much the same idea of sound, but they still have an edge to their voices. Amazon was a great buy! I only found it for like 2 bucks and it was worth it!
