Newman has received a total of ten Academy Award® nominations on such diverse scores as Road To Perdition, Finding Nemo, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Steven Soderbergh's The Good German and most recently, The Iron Lady. He has won two Grammy® Awards, an Emmy® and has been nominated for a Golden Globe®.

After seeing the movie, I immediately got the soundtrack. Each song is unique and transports to a place of happiness and joy. The movie was fabulous, too.

With movie soundtracks you either like them or they bore you, especially if you have not seen the movie yet. This film attracted me due to the stars Maggie Smith and Jundi Dench and the story about retirees moving to India. I listened to this about 3 times yesterday and found that it can stand on it's own. The Newman legacy continues with this new soundtrack.

Perhaps it only works after you've seen the movie, but for me some of these tracks are a reminder that after all that's been done, forgiveness is still possible. How can some music do this?? Very sweet. A haunting combination of Indian and Western tonalities and instruments, blending perfectly with the movie theme.

Great music from a great movie
This soundtrack is a blend of Eastern and Western music styles, which is a perfect fit for the movie. After seeing it, I knew I had to add the soundtrack to my music library.

Saw the movie
Saw the movie and loved it and love the sound track. I think it is an exciting CD. My painting teacher will play it while we are all painting and it is inspiring.
