Loved it!,

This review is from: Expect the Sunrise (Team Hope Series #3) (Paperback)
Expect the Sunrise had me hooked from the get-go. Susan May Warren's third book in the Team Hope series was an excellent read! A yummy Scottish FBI hero, a mountain rescuer heroine, a terrorist, seven survivors of a plane crash trapped in the Alaska wilds, and past regrets all add up to learning to rely on God and even better a great read for us! Susan May Warren's books are on my auto-buy list... she should be on yours as well.

Susan May Warren is an excellent up and coming writer with great books. I've enjoyed reading two of her other series and the first two of the TEAM HOPE, so I was really looking forward to the 3rd. It was not a disappointment. Susan's books have solid, easy to follow storylines, action, and of course romance. As a Christian, Susan also shows throughout her books how God's love, forgiveness, and grace are central to Christians lives and how others can know God better.
Expect the Sunrise focused on two main characters, Andee and Mac. Andee is an Alaskan bush pilot during the summer and has one last flight before winter comes and she heads south. Unfortunately, she and her 6 other passengers crash before they reach their destination. The seven of them have to hike out several miles to the nearest town, while the trouble mounts: Two passengers are injured, there is no operable communication, snow is coming, and FBI agent, Mac, discovers that a terrorist is in their group. Somehow they have to reach town, before someone dies and many are injured. Throughout their journey, both Mac & Andee have to realize that the pain from the past can be and has to be forgiven in order to move on to the future. Through out their ordeal, they learn how God is watching out for them and never leaves. This is a great read, one you will truly enjoy. Now we anxiously wait for the next in the series!

Always a beautiful book,

Susan May Warren has the power to create books that are funny, romantic, suspenceful and filled with touching stories about faith. This book, like all her others, has characters who are haunted in some way but yet have beautiful hearts and determined spirits. It is amazing how she manages to create a romance while also building a plot and backdrop that is full of life and interest, and watching these characters draw closer to God is always beautiful. Although I have to say I love Susan's Deep Haven series more than the Team Hope series (just my personal preference for book genre) it is always a pleasure to read this author's books and I really believe she is one of the top romance and Christian authors out there.

Another Winner!!,

This review is from: Expect the Sunrise (Team Hope Series #3) (Paperback)
"Expect the Sunrise" is another winner in romantic suspense. Susan May Warren has intricately woven together a compelling story of survival, intrigue and the struggle of forgiveness.
In this newest Team Hope book, pilot and SAR team memeber, Andee MacLeod, encounters many challenges after crashing her plane high in the Alaskan forest. Faced with the health and safety concerns of the seven survivors, Andee struggles to keep them all alive. Survivor and FBI agent Stirling "Mac" McRae is fighting his own battle after a personal tragedy has left him uncertain of his future and questioning the God of his faith. As Andee and Mac struggle against the elements and their attraction, suspicious circumstances test their faith and they must learn to trust in order to experience the power of forgiveness. This is an awesome story that keeps you eagerly turning pages as the plot takes unexpected twists and secrets are revealed. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good soul-searching romantic suspense. However, be sure to read the other Team Hope books so you can get to know this amazing group of people whose compassion and devotion to each other has them boldly stepping into danger. You don't want to miss this!!

Think: Gerard Butler meets and is transformed by Jesus!,
This review is from: Expect the Sunrise (Team Hope Series #3) (Paperback)
Susan May Warren's Expect the Sunrise is a tasty morsel for us gals who have an affinity for big, braw Scotsmen. Think: Gerard Butler meets and is transformed by Jesus (wouldn't that be lovely!). Ms. Warren's writing is deft and sure, poignant yet edgy with action and intrigue. Our heroine, Emma, is a determined yet tender match for our rugged sweetheart of hero, Mac. The lead characters' soul-searching compels the reader to reflect on her or his own life's choices and relationship with God. Through the characters' interactions, Ms. Warren very convincingly portrays both the complexity and simplicity of forgiveness. If you crave an engaging read equally suspenseful and poetic, just Expect the Sunrise!

Great series!,

EXPECT THE SUNRISE is the third book in the TEAM HOPE series by Susan May Warren. Each book follows the lives of search and rescue members that make up Team Hope. EXPECT THE SUNRISE takes place in the Alaskan wilderness after the plane piloted by Andee MacLoad, a mountain rescuer, crash lands during a storm. Sterling "Mac" MacLeod, an FBI agent, is one of seven survivors and immediately suspects there is a saboteur on the flight, with the Alaskan Pipeline as its target. Andee and Mac clash when decisions have to be made regarding the safety of the passengers. With Andee's best friend injured, she decides to hike out on her own in search of help. Mac fears she is the saboteur and insists they stay together, not wanting her to get the opportunity to accomplish her plan for disaster. What results is an intriguing story as Andee and Mac struggle with trust, survival, and secrets that could shatter their growing interest in each other.
I thoroughly enjoyed the TEAM HOPE series. With adventurous stories set in the great outdoors, Susan May Warren captivates her audience with deep characters, rich plots, and enough suspense to keep you guessing.

Third in the saga of Jim Micah's SAR team. This is Andee's incredible story.,

This review is from: Expect the Sunrise (Team Hope Series #3) (Paperback)
A terrorist is going to blow up the Alaska pipeline. Mac and his partner are there to stop the violence. But Mac's partner is critically wounded in the fire-fight. Mac frantically tries to save him, waving maniacally to a helicopter flying overhead. He attributes his partner's death to the fact that the pilot didn't stop.
Mac is living with a chip on his shoulder after the death of his partner, still blaming the helicopter pilot for his loss. Andee, a member of Jim Micah's SAR team, is spending her summer flying in Alaska. She meets Mac on one of her flights. They share a Scottish heritage, but as they grow closer they learn that they share so much more. Can they overcome the past? Or will they miss out on what promises to be a beautiful future? Susan May Warren is a master of romantic suspense storytelling! Her characters are authentic role models of Christian behavior in extreme circumstances. The way she records their thought processes makes me sit back and examine my own reactions to less stressful experiences. Not only have her novels afforded me many hours of wonderful entertainment, but they have also helped me to deepen my relationship with God and others.

I truly enjoyed the newest of the Team Hope books called "Expect the Sunrise". Susan has a way to spin a tale of romance. The story features Andee who is a bush pilot and also one of the team hope members. She is flying over while an FBI agent "Mac" Stirling MacRae needs help with his brother and she already is in a life flight situation. She agonizes over the choices she has to make. She is unable to land. "Mac" vows to get even with the pilot if his brother dies. Life brings these two together and love begins to blossom. Such a wonderful story of redemption, forgiveness and hope for the future. I recommend this book to those who love adventure, the Lord and sweet love story.
