A QUESTION OF PRIDE by Michelle Reid. Clea had been young and naive when Max Latham chose her from the typing pool to be his secretary and, later, his mistress. To Clea, it seems Max only wants her for sex. Then Clea becomes pregnant and discovers Max is looking around for a replacement lover. Max proposes marriage, stating he is "fond" of her. Intense study of the consequences from a love affair.THE STUD by Barbara Delinsky. When Jenna McCue decided to have a baby, she chose her best friend's brother as a donor. The coldbloodiness of the premise made it hard to get into the story. A LITTLE MAGIC by Rita Clay Estrada. In a moment of weakness, Marissa Madison and Adam Pierce tumbled into bed together. Then Marissa must contact Adam and tell him she is pregnant. Adam tries to take over Marissa's life, but can't admit he loves her. Adam's growth and Marissa's insecurities are also well-defined. A good story.

Some of it was good,
This review is from: Expecting! : The Stud / A Question of Pride / A Little Magic (By Request) (Paperback)
The Stud- I honestly loved this story. Jenna wants to have a baby and she wants her best friends brother to be the father... sorta. She wants him to donate his sperm and he says yes. From there the story gets really good. The ending made tears come to my eyes and I totally loved Spencer by the end of the book. I wanted to marry him. This story was the reason I gave the whole book three stars. The one story is worth five stars but since you have to buy the other two to get this one I had to even it out.
A QUESTION OF PRIDE- This is a creppy story to me. I've read main female leads that have been only twenty and been okay with that. I've read books where the main male lead was a lot older. In this book you got both and I can say that for the first time this type of thing creeped me out a bit. She acted like a child and he still loved her. Add in that she gets a little tipsy in the middle of the pregnancy and I have a story that I wished I hadn't picked up. I get that this book was made awhile ago and that rules might have been different then but I really didn't like the fact that she drank while she was pregnant and I really didn't like her whining. I didn't HATE the story which is a good thing. The bad thing about it was that I didn't like it either. A LITTLE MAGIC- This book was boring. It's that simple. It wasn't a bad story, but they could have shaved off half of the story and it could have been just as good. You have the ups and that downs and the ups and the downs and then it starts all over again. Tack on a happy ending in the end and you look back and wonder how it was stretched that far. Marissa drinks in this book as well but there stands the difference. She only drinks like one glass of wine, and that it. That I'm okay with. Getting drunk while pregnant however, not my cup of tea. In the end the only story that really stood out for me was the first one and thats because I'm a sap and it struck a cord. I really like it when the main character falls in love with someone she's known for awhile. The fact that the guy was her best friends brother was a bonus. In the end I wouldn't tell anyone to buy this book though. The stories just aren't worth full price. Lucky for me I got this at a used book store.
