5.0 out of 5 stars Yote Coyote Does the Job!
We have suffered from the droppings of geese on the walkway into our office for years. We have tried chasing them away with squirt guns, remote control cars, and frisbees. As a last resort, we decided to try a coyote decoy. We are thrilled. For the first time, the geese stay away when they spot "Yote." If they fly in, we just put Yote out near the walkway, and they just...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Wile E. Coyote
We placed our Creepin' Coyote out on the beach to keep the geese away. When we came back a few days later, the evidence of geese was everywhere. Our neighbor said the geese were hanging out all around the coyote. Perhaps if we were at the summer house every day we could move the coyote and the geese would be worried. Since we can't be there, he isn't moving and the...

We have suffered from the droppings of geese on the walkway into our office for years. We have tried chasing them away with squirt guns, remote control cars, and frisbees. As a last resort, we decided to try a coyote decoy. We are thrilled. For the first time, the geese stay away when they spot "Yote." If they fly in, we just put Yote out near the walkway, and they just graze in the grass away from our door. We do try to move him around a bit so they don't get too used to seeing him in the same place, but when the wind blows, "Yote" moves a little with it, as does his tail, which makes him look even more real. The only Con about "Yote" is that he has scared more than one of our employees and visitors--he looks that real (except for the having no legs part.) I highly recommend "Yote" if you have a problem with geese. He worked for us.

I bought this item and the Bird-x 3-D3-D Coyote Replica. Both are fearsome looking and together they have kept Canadian geese off our grass. I like the looks of this one better, although it is hard to tell which is more effective. They are essentially the same item with different looks.

Our neighbor said the geese were hanging out all around the coyote. Perhaps if we were at the summer house every day we could move the coyote and the geese would be worried. Since we can't be there, he isn't moving and the geese are happy to come visiting. They make such a mess! So unless you can be available to move coyote on a regular basis, I wouldn't waste my money.

This product didn't work for me. The first day I placed the decoy outside, the geese were scared and stayed back all day. The 2nd day, they were still a little scared and watched it from afar. The 3rd day they got about 50 feet from it but they didn't seem to fear it anymore. And by the 5th day, they had no fear of it. I moved it every day just as they told me to do but that didn't help. They realized the decoy never attacked them or threatened them. Eventually they were friends with it and I am sure laughing at me for buying it and thinking it would work. Don't waste your money on it. I have tried pretty much everything and none of it works. One thing they hate is to be intimidated and my husband has done a good job of just being on them constantly. Chasing them and making them uncomfortable. You do have to devote a huge part of your life to doing that and checking on them every 10 minutes but we figure if we keep up the intimidation act long enough, we will win. And that seems to work. Now when we open the front door they get scared of us and run. They realize we are not happy with them and we bug them, scare them, yell at them and chase them. They don't get to relax and just eat our lawn without a fight. We probably look stupid doing this but I don't care, I want my yard back.
And a small BB gun to hit them in the behind works to. They do not like that and go running. Now we don't even have to use the BB gun. Just the sound of us cocking it makes them run. We conditioned them into knowing that the sound of the cocking BB gun might bring us some discomfort so they go running. That seems to work the best plus our neighbors dog. Good luck. I know how hard it is to deal with these geese and I have put up a long hard fight to win this battle. Don't give up, keep bugging them.

Unfortunately, this decoy didn't work to keep the wild Canadian geese from using our dock down by the river as a "poop platform".
Even though we moved it around to different locations, our geese were too smart for such a ploy! On the bright side, putting string around the dock has worked beautifully, so the problem is now solved. Evidently, this makes it difficult for the birds to take off.
