Book Description

**** Celestra Series OPTIONED for FILM by 20th CENTURY FOX!!! ****

Praise for the Celestra Series...

"This series has been incredible from book 1! There is non-stop action throughout and its got tension-filled romance as well. Usually when there is a love triangle, I choose a side and stay there, but with this series I can't decide whose team I'm on. One book, it's hands down team Gage. Then in the next book I'm feeling bad for Logan. Now, even Marshall is growing on me!! Not to mention the suspense, which is KILLING me!" --Wendyirp

"This is a must read series... WOW this whole entire series is amazing. Lots of twists and turns. I am ADDICTED!" -C. Shelton-Lopata

"Definite must read, and another new series I cant wait to read more of."
– YA lit lovers

"Addison Moore is fastly becoming one of my favorite authors. I love the Celestra Series books." Daniele5088

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Disappointed! April 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
When I first started this series, I couldn't put any of them down. All the characters were on track development wise, the overall plot was intriguing, and subplots complemented the overall story well. Around book 4 I noticed a decline in all aspects of the story, but I stuck with it hoping for the best.

Now that I have finished book 6, I am seriously considering abandoning the series. The author is a skilled writer, I never would have continued reading the series if she was horrible. My problem with Expel is that it was painfully redundant and the story isn't moving forward. When I wasn't skimming through Sklya's inner monologues, I was contemplating throwing my Kindle because I was reminded for the millionth time that "Gage is my forever". I get it. She loves Gage. She loves Logan. She loves Marshall. I seriously think 70% of the book is her talking about and/or kissing one of those three. I understand the love quadrangle(?) is important to the story, but come on....enough already.

Another problem I have is that the faction war, which I was lead to believe is a pretty significant plot point, only consists of maybe 5 pages. And within those 5 pages, I was completely lost. I had absolutely no clue wtf was going on and the "fighting" was over before I knew it. I would think since we are into book 6 that the romance storyline would take the backseat to the faction war storyline. There was hardly any world building when the author described the actual battle scenes. It seemed that everyone but Skyla knew what was going on and she only knew how to hide behind rocks. I'm not an expert on writing, but if the author leads me to believe that the female protagonist is going to be a bad-ass and save the world I would think she would develop the character better than she has.

2.0 out of 5 stars Please Make It Stop. I'm Begging You! April 27, 2012
By Melissa
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have a great idea for the ending to this series. I think that Logan should sail away from the island, meet a sweet girl on the mainland, head to college, plan a future . . . and the rest of the island and all those on it should slowly sink into the sea, sparing the rest of us from their rotten personalities and ridiculously mean-spirited drama. Erg! I have never felt so irritated with an entire book of characters as I am with this series. At this point in the series the people reading these books are either die-hard fans (notice all the five star ratings!) or people like me who continue to buy the books because we are suckers for finishing out the series we begin, no matter what. I have never loved this series, but I didn't really start hating things until book five. Unfortunately, the bad taste left in my mouth after that book is still lingering, so I'm afraid it affected my experience reading this book. I don't want to dislike these books. Behind all of the things I don't like it a potentially interesting, unique story. Unfortunately it is lost in this sea of melodrama that swirls and swirls and swirls all over the place, never actually taking us anywhere.

I feel like all of my issues with this book are similar to my issues with book five, so I won't spend forever explaining everything all over again, but here are my main complaints:

1. Skyla -- Is there any more annoying, whiny, witchy, mean-spirited, hateful first person narrator in literature? I can't imagine. I realize that she has a lot of problems that have been forced on her. She has a rotten family, a rotten set of "friends," a life that never stays stable from one minute to the next. I get it.

5.0 out of 5 stars God help me March 22, 2012

I just finished this book that was only released a few short hours ago...yeah it was that good.
Addison Moore continues with her streak of bombshells, fast paced twist and turns and again leaves me in shock and BEGGING for "Moore".
In my opinion a sign of a good story is one that is not predictable.
Addison is anything but!
Counting down till the next book....again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Amazingly airheaded heroine June 4, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Amazingly airheaded heroine - very narcisistic, very shallow - not to mention incredulously mundane storyline which goes nowhere even after the 6th installment of series.

I loved all the preceding celestra books but this one I cannot even force myself to finish it. The story line has just run its course, time to wrap it up.

2.0 out of 5 stars Just so-so April 20, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I liked this series, but I didn't love it. I didn't like how you had to read 6 books to get answers to a few questions from just the first book. Each book needs to be planned out better with a clear ending. Skyla the main character, is supposed to be special, but she never does anything special. She is supposed to be in the middle of a war, but all she worries about are her 3 boyfriends. Finally in book 6 you get a few answers, but again it has a terrible ending where you don't know what the heck you just read. Yes, it has a twist, but when you spend 5 books building up 1 boyfriend and knocking down the other 2, are we supposed to be happy to find out that the one built up was using her all along? All 3 boyfriends are now losers at that point, the one a traitor, the other one you can't even like by book 6, then there's the last one, Marshall, does anyone get Marshall's character at all? Marshall should have come to the school as a student (not teacher) as kept his identity hidden from her until her boyfriends were narrowed to just 2.

I'm not sure that I'm even going to bother reading any more of this series, after 6 books--it seems like this series is NEVER going to end! I mean who wants to read about Chloe for 5 books, give her body to Elzyira or just kill her off already! Then Skyla does a lot of things that just don't make sense, like not telling her mom that her friend Dimitri is her Dad's killer or asking questions that she should be asking. Skyla is more worried about who she is going to marry and what bra she is wearing, then the war going on. I mean isn't a war supposed to be going on?

I remember reading in Chloe's diary in BURN that she lost her virginity to Ellis, and he wanted to be her boyfriend so bad, he bought her flowers and everything, but she played him and started dating Logan to make Gage jealous. That's why, at the end of BURN, Skyla assumed Ellis was the... Read More
