This textbook is one of the few that I've found that actually allows implementation of a "Psych 101" approach to study. It has a good summary at the end of each chapter, "objectives" at the beginning of each chapter, and examples throughout each section. Hence, before embarking on MATH instruction, I start with MASS instruction, telling my students how to study: Begin new material by finding out what you need to look for (Objectives, at the start of the chapter), then get an overview of what supports those objectives (the Summary at the end of the chapter), then look through the chapter material (fore-armed/forewarned from the Objectives and Summary) for the examples and FINALLY you should be prepared to begin digesting the detailed content of the chapter. Other texts that I have used do not support such a methodical approach.
