Book Description

0205308325 978-0205308323 July 10, 2000 8th
An introduction to the basic principles of psychological research (both experimental and non-experimental) with new coverage of qualitative research. Known for its readability, Experimental Methodology is organized so that each chapter focuses on a specific step in the research process. The primary orientation of this text is toward providing instruction in the experimental approach, but an introduction to non-experimental approaches such as ex-post facto research, correlational research, and survey research is provided. Rather than dichotomizing psychological research into descriptive and experimental research, this edition takes the more current approach of using the quantitative and qualitative research dichotomy, presented in Chapter 2. Christensen also contains strong coverage of research ethics. Experimental Methodology can be accompanied by a lab manual.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Assistant for conducting a research, August 22, 2005
This review is from: Experimental Methodology (8th Edition) (Hardcover)
If it is the first time you are trying to conduct a scientific experiment in psychology, this is the book you should refer to. Easy to read with numerous examples, manages to clarify even difficult issues. It helped a lot while preparing my experiment for my PhD thesis.

The book was shipped really quick and in the condition it said online. Only thing is that on review it did not say that the binding was loose. But other then that I was pleased.

3.0 out of 5 stars not as great as i would think, February 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The textbook has a informal tone that I do not like. The index is not as helpful as I would have liked. Overall the book explains concepts well.
