So this happens to be a rather solid book. I am not an Organic Chemist so I needed to review the "basics" and this book is stellar. If you have the basics down this is not the boo for you. The writing is basically for an advanced undergraduate level. Better than my other OChem book for sure.

I used this lab manual for organic chemistry I and II lab at the undergrad level, and it was a pretty decent book. The background and prelab info is sufficient and gives you some insight to the underlying chemistry behind the experiment. However, unless you're taking an organic chemistry lecture concurrently that is in line with the text, then you will be lost in terms of understanding the chemistry behind what you're doing, and you'll be searching for answers online.they've released a newer edition of this text which is extremely expensive, but the content is the same. they've only switched around some of the pages so the pagination is only off slightly. I would get this edition rather than the newer one since it is much much cheaper for the same material.

Needed it for my organic chemistry lab.Has helpful diagrams of the apparatus I have needed so far and fairly detailed instructions. Its use is limited in the current course i'm taking, but I could see future use for it in other areas of my education.
