Fascinating look at the digestive system before the advance of modern medical science. Not to far off the mark, either. An excellent read.

This review is from: Experiments and Observations on the Gastric Juice: and the Physiology of Digestion (Paperback)
It was more of transcripts from a diary and how this man sought out this other man his whole life. Creepy. Not educational in the least. Too much information about the stalkings of these two men and the weird relationship they had.
