5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent guide
I have not completed the reading yet, however what I have read has enlightened me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I read this book before law school and have not found it helpful at all. There are better prep books out there that are much more effecient and direct.

Law school is different from any other learning I have attempted. After completing my first year, it is readily apparent the professors expect you to have much of the knowledge already and what you don't have you are expected to get on your own. This book has helped with identifying the skills to analyze and then to put that information down on paper.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book really worked for me, August 31, 2007
I wasn't planning on posting a review, but I saw the other review today and I really disagreed with it. This book worked for me. It took some time, but I worked through the book and I feel now like I am a much better student. Too many books just tell you what you know and either skim over or ignore how to develop your own learning style. This book may not for everyone -- I know some people who would hate working through the various exercises because it is not how they operate. Personally, I found the exercises extremely helpful and I highly recommend this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horribe and strewn with grammatical errors, August 30, 2007
This book is terrible. It did not help me in my studies; the exercises were pointless busy work; and I had trouble focusing because of the endless typos and grammatical errors. How this book ever made it to press blows my mind.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of time, money, July 27, 2010
This review is from: Expert Learning for Law Students Workbook (Paperback)
I have three main issues with this book. First, the book tries to give study strategies by lumping everyone into one of several "learning personalities", each one based on one of the senses, as if the science of learning were that simple. Second, if you're in law school then you've already found a study technique that works for you, which makes this book completely unnecessary. Third, by the time you get to your second week of law school, you're going to realize you have about a million pages to read that you'll be tested on, and not a single one of them will be in this book. It's really going to kill any incentive you had to read this thing and it'll probably just end up buried under piles of things that are actually useful to law school students. Save your time for studying cases, and your money for food.
