5.0 out of 5 stars Don't leave home without it!
I am surprised that I am the first person to write a review of this excellent book. I have read over 8 books in the subject area over the past few years and this one is by far the best. I give copies to my Expert Witness colleagues and exhort them to read it. Whenever they ask me an EW question, I ask them if they have read Lubet's book yet?

At $45, this one is a...

2.0 out of 5 stars A Good Reference - Just Not on Kindle
As a Kindle user and lover, I was glad to see this reference available in supposedly-specialized "Kindle" format. Unfortunately, the switch to the Kindle leaves much wanting. The formatting is spotty, the table of contents is illegible, and there are no links to the pages in the TOC. Overall, a poor, poor adaptation to the Kindle. If you want this book, I recommend...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great resource for real estate experts - Must read before testifying, May 14, 2009
This review is from: Expert Testimony: A Guide for Expert Witnesses and the Lawyers Who Examine Them (Paperback)
This is an excellent resource for those who plan to do litigation support. I was referred to this book by the instructor of a seminar entitled "Attacking and Defending Appraisals in Litigation" by Ted Witmer, MAI. It proved to be "exactly what the doctor ordered" to give me insights into how to prepare a real estate appraisal to stand up under the onslaught by opposing counsel. It not only gives insights on how to prepare the written report but also how to prepare with hiring counsel and then to answer in a professional manner on the witness stand in a credible, unbiased way while still not damaging the case of the hiring attorney. Highly recommend to any real estate brokers or appraisers who plan to do litigation support. Paul Lorenzen, CCIM, CPM, CSM, MAI, Nampa, Idaho.
