VB 2008 Expert Objects Review,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Expert VB 2008 Business Objects (Paperback)
This book is very well written, however, you need to have a fairly deep understanding of the Visual Basic Language, the Dot Net Framework in general, and as much of the advanced programming concepts before starting on this book as the book assumes you already know this. It treats the business process with an in-depth study of using object oirented programming concepts to build business systems using an object oriented class library that the author has created and refined over the years. It covers many of the newer programming technologies available as of 2008 Visual Studio. an in-depth coverage of the concepts progresses from chapter to chapter, the framework of his class library is well designed and well thought out, however, like I said, it can be a bit much to follow for beginners. The book is a credit to the author and worth the time it takes to study it.

As with the earlier editions, this book is a great help in understanding how to use business objects with VB. The book is worth the price just for the CSLA Framework alone.
