4.0 out of 5 stars Good model in the field, July 7, 1999

This review is from: Explaining Scientific Consensus: The Case of Mendelian Genetics (Hardcover)
This work is a model for "substantive" study in the sociology of scientific knowledge. As many other works in the field, Kim's terminologies often burst old boundaries of various fields; sociology, history of science, philosophy(epistemology, philosophy of science). Well written, but not easy for general readers to grasp its overall framework.
