Workbook with Reviews-a Winner,

This review is from: Explode the Code/Book Eight (Paperback)
I have been using this series with my children, including Get Ready for the Code and Beyond the Code, since it was first recommended to me six years ago. Having one child with learning disabilities who needs visual ques and repeated reviews, I have found this series to be a great tool. I would recommned it to any student who enjoys a workbook type study. It reinforces spelling and vocabulary skills with minimal teacher involvement. The wacky drawings often get colored in as a reward for time spent on the lessons!

I have three kids who were born in Ukraine, and I home school them. The whole Explode the Code series is fantastic for teaching in a fun, low pressure way. I even used them to go way back to the beginning to fill in the holes with stuff they missed since coming to America. I am grateful to have this resourse.

I use this series for both of my kids (6 & 8). Sadly it stops at EtC 8, but we have been very happy with the process the series takes the kids through. My daughter has dyslexia and it was a bit rough in the beginning, but have seen great strides as we are now n EtC 2.5. There are 1/2 books between the main books to help with transitions if necessary. My son didn't need them, but my daughter did. Great to have the choice so there is no unnecessary boredom or if needing an extra stepping stone.
