This album is NOT the Stones,Pistols,Dead Boys, Stooges, NY Dolls or anybody else. "Explode" is a cool album because it's a little bit of them all! (Yes, darlings, it does have melodies!) I really like the fact that Peter Blast is doing both vocals and guitar! Great! Now, this is definitely NOT a pop album! This is a raw, boozie rock'n'roll album (have you seen a Peter Blast show?)!

Peter Blast,thanx! You're a true timepiece that won't stop ticking or kicking - your fans, young and not so young, are glad about that! It's about time that an artist shows originality and that, Mr. Blast is definitely what you are, an original! Go check out Peter Blast at a venue near you! You won't believe your eyes or ears!

EXPLODE! is a Volcanic Eruption of some of the hottest, most intense Rock songs I've ever heard.
Peter Blast has captured the true essense of what a Rocker does...He Rocks! I love to dance, and this release just jerked me up and hurled me out on the dance floor with it's pounding bass and drums, the intensity of the lead guitar riffs and razor-like lyrics in the tracks of "Orange Sunshine", "Sharp as a Knife", "We're the Hellraisers" and "Explode"! Of course, when I heard the blues number "Cruel, Cruel World" and the beautiful "And Just For You Too", I was given an opportunity to view the more emotional side of Mr. Peter Blast.
And just when you thought it was safe...Peter Blast will EXPLODE...AGAIN when the 2004 release is re-issued in the summer of 2009!
Thanks Peter...for keeping us on our toes!

I just recently purchase this CD. Excellent! What variety! From rock to the blues and back again. This CD is the other side of the coin of his first solo effort This side of Shang`hi I enjoy Explode much better than his first release with the group Junebug. Wish you the best dude!
