Fab Resource for Elementary Science, May 1, 2011
This review is from: Explore Spring: 25 Great Ways to Learn About Spring (Explore Your World series) (Paperback)
This is a fantastic resource for all elementary classrooms, as well as for homeschooling families. It includes the following six chapters:
Introduction: Let's Investigate Spring!
1. The Sun Makes Seasons
2. Green, Green, Green
3. Trees and Leaves
4. Animals On The Move
5. Spring Is For Babies
6. Spring Weather
Each chapter has a ton of information to teach your children all about the season of Spring. You will learn about baby animals, dirt, how trees grow, and so much more through fun activities like making your own paper, keeping a science journal and how to go on a camaflouge treasure hunt! There is a great glossary and list of other resources that you can use to explore science. This is part of the Explore Your World Series, that includes book about Seasons, Ancient World and Space.
Although my children are only 4.5 and 2.5, I was able to modify a few of the projects, including Carnation Creation, Camaflouge Treasure Hunt and Making a Wind Chime.
If you are looking for a great book to add to your science curriculum I highly recommend this book! I give it a huge thumbs up!
