My daughter received this toy at age 2 yrs. and loved it then. She is now 4 yrs. old and still likes to play with it. One of the little discs did stop playing, but we just bent the plastic a little and now it works fine again. She mostly uses the player and is not real interested in the book. The songs are "Dora" music (no words). My daughter was not familiar with Dora so she did not know any of the songs, but she was just so happy to push the buttons and hear her own music that it didn't really matter. Her favorite of all the songs is the "Chicken Dance."

My three year old loves books and music. This book is the best of both. Now she can play her music all by herself, while she "reads" the book!

I bought this for my soon to be 3 year old daughter... She loves playing with the music player.. All of her cousins fight over this book!! A big hit... Highly recommend..

She changes the discs and dances along... and we read the book together every night. It is easy for her to use the music player without any help.

I expected a recorded book or at least music with words. Not being familiar with the songs is a big disadvantage for me, as grandma! But the 3 and 4 year olds love to operate the "records" and the girls love to "dance" to the music.

my 4 year old received this for her b-day, very cute book and the CDs are a fun addition, not the greatest sound quality, but I had low expectations.

I purchased this book for my daughter thinking how cool it comes with a music player. Whilst I was impressed that this plastic toy and discs acctualy makes music, it only plays the tune not the songs themselves, the story is too elaborate right now for my 2.6 years. perhaps in a few more years she'll be more interested.

My Granddaughter Addison loves anything music anything Dora. This was a perfect size for her to take along and play.

They had this for sale at our local Sam's Club ($12.88) and I was thrilled to have found it. After opening (almost impossible to undo the plastic tie around the CD player without scratching it .., maybe it's packed differently for different vendors) we found out that the "Spanish language" songs are all instrumental, no lyrics are included. This was not clear from the description on the package itself. The lyrics are in the book, but this is not very helpful if one is unfamiliar with the songs. It would be hard to sing along. This would have been perfect if it had included the lyrics on the CD/player and would have gotten five stars from me. When I bought it I had hoped it would help introduce the Spanish language through those songs to my toddler. This won't happen. If my Spanish was that good that I could sing along, I wouldn't need the music player or CDs at all.

The CD player is easy to operate (all songs are pre-recorded, the CD's just press down certain tracks to get the songs to play) but there is no adjustment for the volume and it plays rather loudly ... I can easily imagine that this could get pretty annoying if you have to listen to it over and over again.

I am thinking about returning it.
