About the Author

Justin Gage is a music writer and the founder of Autumn Tone Records and An Aquarium Drunkard, which was named one of the year’s best blogs by Rolling Stone Magazine in 2008. In addition to running his record label and website, Justin also regularly promotes concerts, and programs and DJs weekly radio shows on Sirius satellite radio and Little Radio in Los Angeles. Justin currently lives in Los Angeles.

Melissa Gage attended Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. As Citysearch’s Travel Editor, Melissa wrote about destinations from Sun Valley to San Juan, Puerto Rico. She currently lives in Los Angeles, where she is a freelance travel writer and screenwriter.

As a blues music and art store owner in the heart of the Mississippi Delta (Clarksdale), I highly recommend this informative guide book to all of my customers. It covers Memphis into the Mississippi blues Delta as the title states and includes pretty much all of the information you need to have a amazingly rich, lasting Delta blues experience. The up-to-date info includes daytime stops at relevant museums and historical markers... and nighttime stops to the clubs and jukes. ([...]) Buy this book today, and then come visit us in the "Land Where Blues Began." Oh... one other thing... If you plan to visit Mississippi in search of live blues, please note that most of it happens on the weekends -- though Clarksdale has it Wed-Sat (plus sometimes Tues/Sun) as well.

Bought it for a trip to Mississippi but found something better written by a true blues fan. This is a bit standard travel guide
