An absolute treasure of a travel guide!
When touring Costa Rica, it is very difficult to eliminate options.... the country is so beautiful, the topography so diverse. This book zeroes right in on the best, the 'must see' and 'highly recommended' attractions. It also offers a wonderful assortment of colored photographs. I highly recommend this travel guide, especially for a first-time traveler to Costa...

Just an average travel book
We used the book religiously on our trip to Costa Rica. It was helpful in finding some of the best areas, but we relied on help from the locals to find the good stuff.

Disappointing and discouraging guide to Costa Rica,

The only positive thing I can say about this book is that the photographs are excellent. The content, leaves much to be desired. The author, Fiona Dunlap spends much of this book complaining and insulting - from bad road conditions to long lines, it's negative all around. Ms. Dunlap definitely give the impression that she greatly disliked her stay in Costa Rica. Very disappointing.
