Geology, Biology and Climatic Evolution on Earth,
By Cecilia Caballero (Mexico D.F.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Exploring Earth and Life Through Time (Paperback)
This book is an excellent approach for understanding the evolution of the Earth as a system. Geology, Biology and Climatic Changes are integrated in a way that is possible to relate how changes in the plate tectonic may produce dramatic climatic changes and hence how these changes have constrained the development of live on Earth. The way in which the geologic time is divided for presenting the history of the Earth is very convenient for understanding the general evolution trends without focusing too much in minor details It is particularly good for those people interested in life evolution linked to global changes. Life evolution is presented in a global approach, but geological changes are mainly focused on North America examples, probably loosing the context of a global approach to earth history. It is well illustrated.
