I am a college student, and this book is required. This is in large part a technical book. As such, one of the most important aspects of a technical book are the examples and problems in the book. In short, they are horrible! They are overly complex, and the format in which the examples are written is hard to follow. It's very frustrating because the material covered is not difficult. I had a problem with one example in the first chapter so I took it to the math lab. The tutor, who has a masters in physics, didn't understand the problem, and told me that perhaps it was a book error. I am finding more and more problems are of similar nature. I am only on chapter 4, but I am finding this to be one of the worst textbooks I have ever read. Don't buy this book unless it's required.

Great seller and shipping, I really can't say enough. I didn't really use this book at all in the glass. I think there's probably some useful information in there, but chances are you already know which areas interest you. If you don't, then perhaps you should at least flip through the pages and look at pictures.

As textbooks go, this is not a bad one. It's easy to read and understand. It does keep your interest and would be a good reference to have on hand.

The is your most basic textbook. There aren't alot of graphics (which I appreciate), the book is concise and thorough.
