One of a kind Mojave desert history,

This is a gem of history of the Mojave desert, specifically the Randsburg and Johannesburg historic mining areas. These are real ghost towns, ready to be explored on foot or in your car, with no tourist traps or sellers hawking merchandise. This book provides an outstanding history lesson along with all the practical information about what types of vehicles are needed for certain roads and where to find unmarked turns and roads less traveled.
All directions are extremely detailed and I've had no problem following them. The photographs, which include both current and historic snapshots, really add to the content of the book. |
