This report provides the results of a study to assess the effectivenessof using microworlds to train Army logisticians. This study was con-ductedas part of a larger project to design training for a new logisticsorganization, the Theater Support Command. The work was spon-soredby the U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command. Itshould interest both those who are involved with military logisticsand those involved with training and education.The project was carried out in the Manpower and Training Programof RAND Arroyo Center, a federally funded research and develop-mentcenter sponsored by the United States Army.

Emile E. Ettedgui (University of Rochester - Physics, Ph.D. 1995, M.A. 1992) ia an Associate physical scientist at RAND.
